While it has a couple of minor issues found in the aiming and the physics platforming, these do not detract from an otherwise superbly paced game. Nearly every aspect within has clearly had a great deal of love and attention poured in, taking me back to the heyday of XBL Arcade, with the likes of Braid and Limbo. I feel this game deserves just as much praise as those classics, and hope it gains it.

This one-man-project is definitely worth a look. A lot of elements are far from perfect, but in terms of atmosphere and story-telling this is one of the best indie jump&runs out there.

Pinstripe isn't perfect, but it feels as if it nearly perfectly accomplishes what it sets out to do. It tells an emotional story with its own peculiar and disturbing flair. Like Dante seeking out Beatrice, Ted will walk through hell for Bo. That's something we can all empathize with on some level. That's what's worth fighting for.

A lighter experience than perhaps the developer intended - which is a bit of a shame.

Pinstripe is one of those rare games that makes you think about it long after completion. It stirs up a number of emotions throughout yourPinstripe is one of those rare games that makes you think about it long after completion. It stirs up a number of emotions throughout your playthrough and that’s mainly down to its fantastic story. The story grips you straight away and never lets go and in the end you genuinely care about the characters because they’ve been designed and implemented brilliantly. Another thing that stands out is the world in which the game takes place. Everything in the world feels alive and there are plenty of secrets to find which gives the game a little bit of replayability. In terms of the gameplay that’s present in the game you will find some of it pretty enjoyable. The platforming elements of the game play very well and most importantly the controls feel fluid and responsive throughout. There is also a decent amount of puzzles to sink your teeth into as well. Most of the puzzles in the game have been designed really well and I was very impressed with the amount of variety the puzzles had. Pinstripe also has a little bit of combat included in its gameplay, but I found this aspect to be a little lacklustre. The main reason why I wasn’t much for the combat is because everything about it felt awkward and it ended up being frustrating more than anything. In terms of content the game is short, but in my opinion I found the length of the game to be perfect. It doesn’t overstay its welcome and if you want more then you will get more playthroughs if you want to find all of the secrets. If you want to do this though then you’ll have to prepare for a lot of backtracking and if you’re like me then you will find this a tad tedious at times. The presentation side of the game is absolutely stunning in my opinion. Visually the game looks great and looks alive at all times and the accompanying sound design is fantastic, and I must admit that I was especially impressed with the voice actors who I thought did a wonderful job of bringing an emotional side to the game. At the end of the day Pinstripe will no doubt surprise a lot of people and it surprised me as well because I didn’t think it would be this good. They have managed to combine a fantastic story with wonderful characters and also throw in some clever puzzles as well and this without a doubt creates a memorable experience. If you’re a fan of puzzle platformers then Pinstripe is a must buy and if you’re newcomers to the genre then I highly recommend you try this game first. Expand

Pinstripe is an adventure platformer game that takes a little longer than 3 hours to complete.
Here you play as Teddy out to rescue his 3 year old daughter from Mr Pinstripe.
The game will full you with all kinds of emotions both with its story telling as well as game design..
    That first feeling is confusion…
The opening sequence of this game has you thinking youre about to take part in a puzzle platformer switch throwing game..
But this isn’t what you get at all..
This game is highly dependent on back tracking, and before you click away.. I don’t like back tracking either.. I get it.. you want to just go forward and have a game delivered to you on rails..
But the world of pinstripe is so condensed that the backtracking I actually enjoyable…
There aren’t multiple branching paths all over the place like a Metroid vania..
Its all pretty straight forward as a back tracking game can be.. it’s a lot of go forward until you you need to find switches to then set something off in the game that allows you to go back and get an item for progressing…
And this need to backtrack is perfectly paced, its never annoying..
and the game will mix the gameplay up by handing you clues to unlock chests in game, it will have you doing spot the difference puzzles, and a flappy bird styled mini game all while trying to collect frozen oil shards to buy a ticket and save your daughter from some creep..
this game is also very narrative focused..and will let you choose different dialog.. and every npc is greatly voice acted….the type of choices you make does go towards a trophy for some replay incentive… as does the game giving you a goldenkey which will give you access to new areas and extras in adventure plus,
And I promise you this game is worth seeing through to its end…
I wasn’t blown away by the gameplay experience… but the delivery of this story made everything worth it for me
    Pinstripe is a simple game…
Theres not a lot of challenge, its casual adventure that will make you smile.
    I give Pinstripe
    a 7/10
