It is a great game with unbelievable simulation better than competitors attention to detail is more than the competition and you have other farmers to compete with and you have to work fast to make sure that you are one of the top one and I find that very competitive and fun
Real Farm is one of the newest entries into the simulator genre. This new title is developed by Triangle Studios and published by SOEDESCO and is now available for 39.99 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Until about a year ago I personally had only spent very limited amounts of time with titles from The Sims and Tropico series. When I was a kid I would spend hours watching my Grandfather play Flight Simulator which was actually quite entertaining at that age.
Simulator games have grown and advanced since I was a kid in so many ways it is almost mind-blowing. The options available and the graphics of some of the newer Simulation games are really incredible. Over the past several months I have spent time with Simulator games such as Firefighters The Simulation, Firefighters Airport Fire Department, Professional Farmer: American Dream, Kerbal Space Program, World of Warplanes, War Thunder, World of Tanks, Dirt 4, Dirt Rally, Surgeon Simulator, Elite Dangerous, Bridge Constructor, The Escapists 1 & 2, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Apollo 11, City Skylines, Dino Frontier, Fishing Master, Fishing Planet, Goat Simulator, Hunting Simulator, Industry Giant 2, TheHunter: Call of the Wild, This Is The Police, and I am sure there are more I missed. You may be thinking to yourself why did he just list all of these games some which may even be questioned as to if it is really a simulator or not. The reason for listing these titles is simply because I have had the opportunity to see all sorts of simulator games this year, all types of graphics, all types of in-game mechanics so I felt that when giving my opinion on Real Farm you know what I am directly or indirectly comparing it to or not comparing it with.
Real Farm from the very start just after the loading screen had me gawking, oohing and awwing at the graphics. The game is beautiful and there is no denying that. The Developers did an incredible job at keeping the scale of objects within a realist point. The choices you are given as to which type of game you want to play are very clear and straight to the point. I spent the majority of my time with Real Farm working on other people Farms in Career Mode to save up money to eventually buy my own farm. Getting the different tasks is also very straightforward and there are no crazy hoops to jump through. The amount of equipment in Real Farm is pretty awesome and although I did not grow up on a farm I can imagine that the equipment worked in game how it works in real life. As you progress eventually you get to a point where the game gets pretty in-depth with maintaining your fields and crops. You have to decide everything from when to get a field ready to plant seeds, if you should, or should not seed that particular field at all, all the way up to watering and using pesticides on the crops and more. I felt that everything with Real Farm was a real as it could be while playing with a controller in the comfort of your own home. I could imagine how boring certain parts of farming could really be like when you are completing a task in your fields and you have to slowly move back and forth back and forth which takes time and can be boring but I understand it and get why they make you do it in game to simulate just how it would be in real life.

One issue I found with Real Farm that I still think about every time I see the game's title on my PlayStation 4's Menu is the music could have been so much better in game. Yes there were guitar strums from time to time and you would get the occasional burst of music playing in the background without vocals, but I could not help but think how time would go by so much smoother and be much more enjoyable if we had an in-game radio playing the latest country music. Maybe even give us options of different radio stations with different types of music. Either way, I felt that the lack of music was something that bothered me way more in this game than any other simulator I have spent time with.
Compared to other Simulator Games it was a bit strange to not see some sort of multiplayer feature or tie in to the world with other players even if in the form of leaderboards but the developers did do an exceptional job with the Single Player Career Mode I guess it really doesn't technically need any sort of multiplayer add-on. Overall I am super impressed with Real Farm, the selection of equipment, animals, jobs, tasks, options, and everything in between seems to be in a nice balance and I would strongly suggest this game to anyone interested in simulator games especially if they enjoy Farming Simulators. I give Real Farm on the PlayStation 4 a 7.5 / 10. Reviewed and Written by Jason N.
I am sorry to say this game is full of bugs thus making it **** jobs soon run out and you are left with nothing to do except drive around looking at the poor quality scenery.A very poor attempt to copy the better farm sims and a small playing area.
Very disappointed.
I hope they aren’t claiming someone tested this pos game before release. Everything the other negative reviews is saying is 100% true and any positive review could only have been bought. I say that having platinumed every farming simulator game. This is trash, utter garbage. From the “physics” to the crashes to the pointless driving to the weather to the inconsistencies in the status bars on different jobs. Ever wonder what spending time in hell would be like? Play this. But don’t really because it’s awful. Still better than any 2k game though
The game is so broken it’s unplayable for any length of time. Set game speed to high? Changes in lighting crash the game. Leave your farm plot too fast after hiring a worker? Game crashes. You have earned a nice amount of money and it hasn’t saved in a while? Game crashes. Other than the crashes Career mode expects you to do the same time consuming and boring things over and over to earn more money than is realistic to get something you no long want because you are now disenfranchised by the whole thing. Rain apparently turns the clock to midnight and, get this, DOESN’T water your crops. You have to manually water crops usually while it rains and can’t see where you have already watered. The game is pure garbage. Avoid!
This was offer for 0.24p on PlayStation Store... How I regret downloading this pile of manure.
1. Vehicles and implementation get hung up and stuck on absolutely anything
2. Only basic introduction to ploughing, cultivation and harvest available
**** working out how to bale hay.... Absolutely no chance, spent hours trying different **** to work
4. Buy Farming Simulator... Even the 2013 version is better than this sluury and has loads more content
Do not buy, the developers have lost interest in their own creation so obviously will never improve
This game can be enjoyable in my personal opinion, but the game is unplayable due to some bugs. I can do everything else, but am unable to do the plowing jobs. Once I get to the job location, when the timer begins and the progress bar appears, I start doing the job. Once I start doing the job, the progress bar does not even start progressing. This is extremely disappointing and often feel a need for a refund. You'd think they'd work out all the bugs before releasing a game.
That being said, the game can be enjoyable if only it were playable.
