    A satisfying stealth-focused isometric turn-based game, with a welcome new flavor given by employing Police tactics. It lacks some finesses from better known franchises and its enemy AI could have been better, but fans of XCOM and the likes should give it a look.

    Rebel cops may be simple in graphics and gameplay mechanics, but it makes up for it by its clever push for tactics and strategy. You will feel connected to your team and not want anyone to die, but this game is tricky enough that the choice may not be in your control. If you like a challenge and as well as playing with stealth, then this game will strongly interest you.

    In hindsight, creating a spin-off from, arguably, the least fun parts of the main This is the Police series was always going to be risky. It hasn’t really paid off and, at best, only the most hardcore strategists will be able to appreciate what Rebel Cops tries to do.

    Rebel Cops is a spin-off game of ‘This is the Police’ which released back in 2016. Besides being a spin-off, it’s also a flip on the originalRebel Cops is a spin-off game of ‘This is the Police’ which released back in 2016. Besides being a spin-off, it’s also a flip on the original plot as instead of being the crime kingpin, you are the responding force of cops here to take back your beat. Rebel Cops is a turn-based strategy game from Weappy Studio set in the same universe as their This Is the Police series. This game ditches the management simulation aspects of those games and doubles down on the strategy gameplay introduced in This Is the Police 2. Ultimately, Rebel Cops is a solid tactics game with a cool premise and fun mission design. The plot may be ultimately lacking, but it still does right by the genre and stands apart from the series that spawned it. I will admit some of the control took me a bit of fumbling (moving a cursor over a window to open it vs a button action command for example) at 1st but the further you delve into the game the more your realize how much strategy is really involved to emerge victorious. Considering the value for your money it is definitely one to check out on your Xbox One digital store if you're a fan of the genre, or even new to it for such a low price of admission.… Expand
