It’s often described as a ‘pop album video game’, but Sayonara Wild Hearts is more than that. It’s a love letter to both gaming and music, perfectly marrying the two mediums together in one expressive package. It’s an art form and one of the best indie titles to hit the Xbox One generation.

Sayonara Wild Hearts transcends the simple video game definition, becoming more of an abstract music experience, almost like a long and interactive electropop videoclip. Its great art design, high variety of gameplay styles and memorable original soundtrack only get partially offset by an overly low challenge level and some design problems, but it's undoubtedly one of the best indie and rhythm games of the last few years.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is an arcade game full of reverie where you ride a motorcycle, skateboard, dance battles, shoot with lasers, swords and hearts are broken. All this at full speed and accompanied by a unique and wonderful soundtrack and visual section.

Even with its shortcomings, Sayonara Wild Hearts is an absolutely mind-blowing experience that gamers of all types must play.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is more of a hyperactive dream pop music video than it is a video game, and that’s a great thing when a lot of what is released these days is gritty post apocalyptic shooters. Sayonara Wild Hearts is a breath of fresh air, an absolute joy to play and has some of the most interesting achievements this achievement hunter has ever unlocked.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is a Neon-Dream Rythym Experience Game. Just enough of a game to be called a game, but a definite experience. About aSayonara Wild Hearts is a Neon-Dream Rythym Experience Game. Just enough of a game to be called a game, but a definite experience. About a young woman with a broken heart and overcoming it. This game presents a rhythmic journey with some wild aesthetics. Throughout the game, you're presented with a rhythmic reflex challenge that grows as you progress. The game starts out simple, controlling from side to side and hitting A at the right time. The music is woven into the gameplay, and you should really focus on those beats, as they are a guiding path, along with the trails of hearts. Follow these two things and you'll have an enjoyable experience. The game's mechanics are constantly evolving around you, presenting a slight addition to what's already there, and keeping the gameplay fresh until the end. And end that felt too soon, coming in at just around an hour of gameplay. The hypnotic beats and neon dream appeal kept me drawn in, even though the theme of the game didn't as much interest me. The game is narrated by Queen Latifah. A wild ride, and an unforgettable journey where you battle a Cyborg Cerberus on the back of a motorcycle with Lazer guns while saving the universe and mending your heart. Expand
