Spitlings on Xbox One is a fairly unique proposition. I certainly can't think of another game I've played where spitting teeth is your primary weapon, and with the myriad of levels, mutators and Spitlings to go at, there’s no shortage of content. However, at around level 30, deja vu does begin to set in, and the game doesn't really manage to surprise any more. Still, with some friends it’s a blast, and the single player does enough to keep you wanting to play.

The game does offer a multiplayerSpitlings is more or a puzzle game based off of shooting mechanics instead of moving and placing things. The game does offer a multiplayer mode both online and off so that is a pretty cool feature. There is a versus mode thatat least makes the mechanics fun and random. But the storyline is far too plain and basic. It offers a variety of spitlings but though they look different the mechanics are all the same and they so nothing unique there, so that was a bit of a letdown. It was fun at least trying to clear the areas and it was an adventure finding the different "Spitlings" even though it got confusing quickly on where i had and hadn't been already. I feel the price of admission doesn't offer enough to the players overall and should have been less costly. It's a fun family game to play when in a group at home. So that does balance the shortcomings. This game is geared more towards all players so I feel for a majority of players will be a happy and have an awesome experience unlocking the characters along the way. Expand
