Jun 23, 2020As someone who is not blinded by nostalgia I personally loved this game. It reminded me of Super Mario 64 or, at the least. Banjo and Kazooie. It’s a fun and entertaining platformer, whether you believe it’s just a kids game or not. There’s a reason why this game was called a classic and I can see why now. With its new paint job it just renewed its title. You have a few problems with the load times and hit detection, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this game is amazing.

Jun 24, 2020SpongeBob's renewed adventure is the return of an iconic platformer we all once embraced. The game looks good and refers to a lot of hilarious situations from the cartoons. You simply can't help to smile a lot during the game, but the controls are not nearly as good. They are barely touched and feel outdated which makes the game less good than an average patty.

It’s a solid execution on a game that has only grown with popularity since its release. For those ‘90s kids out there, it offers a moment of relaxation, a short break to slip back to a time that was a bit easier than now. Much like SpongeBob, I need it.

Jun 29, 2020SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is the definitive version of THQ's two-decades old platformer, with brilliant graphics, new multiplayer modes and added content. THQ Nordic even went th extra step of re-dubbing all the voices for multiple languages, a definitely appreciated choice for non-english speaking gamers. It still brings over some of the original game shortcomings like simple level design and combat, but it definitely is one of the best 3D platformers of the gen and a must buy for SpongeBob fans.

Jun 24, 2020Rehydrated chooses to maintain all of the original's flaws, resulting in a very faithful remake that will surely elicit nostalgic memories if you've spent a lot of time with the original Battle for Bikini Bottom, but it will do absolutely nothing for everyone else.
