"While it never truly feels like it reaches its full potential or the promise Undead Lab’s ideas hold for the genre, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is still a fun, fascinating take on the tradition of zombie-apocalypse games that’s worth playing for hardcore fans." ... Read full review

"Two years after its release State of Decay is still a strong and unique game. Surviving together and help everybody out is a great thing to do, which is why we love the Breakdown and Lifeline modes. Unfortunately the technical issues are still part of the game, which should not be the case on a powerful console like Xbox One." ... Read full review

Because if we are getting games for this price that is awesome!! The game has only a few problems..... One being that I was wanting more out of it and expecting bit more out of this game but didn't get that.... It is a bit repetitive but it is repetitive where you look in houses for food and medicine but everywhere is pretty different and the map isn't too big but I love this game and I think any people who like zombie games and like the survival scene then this game is probably for you.... Also one more thing that is a bit annoying and stupid is that they should have put Coop in the game it would have been better to play with your friend together while surviving the apocalypse..... For the price we should all get this game because this is the price most games should cost!!!! Expand

The gameWell, the contrast between main story line and open world side quests provide a wide verity of things to do to keep ones self busy. The game mechanics are complementary to a young gamer trying to achieve a full synopsis of the zombie apocalypse. The only down side to this game is the inadequate amount of construction materials when they are a imperative aspect of the game. Expand

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a babysitter in the zombie apocalypse well state of decay is your best opportunity. Step into theEver wondered what it would be like to be a babysitter in the zombie apocalypse well state of decay is your best opportunity. Step into the boots of a random protagonist of whom's backstory you are completely unaware of other than your a survivor of the apocalypse and that it is your sole duty to quest, look for supplies and personally babysit several communities with a dozen people each while leaving your no time to explore and amerce yourself in the games beautiful open world. Pushed to the edge with no save systems or lack of character worth this game fall shorts on a lot of key areas, overall the game isn't bad, its average, with a strong ambition yet poor execution in the game itself Expand
