This game is brutal, it yields at no turn, and punishes even the smartest of adventurers with repeated death, but don't let that discourage you. Sunless Sea is as I just said, unforgiving, but holds a deep and lore filled world worthy of exploration. The game is slow to start, and you need to take it slow to finish. You'll house countless generations of Zailors before you find a conclusion to the endless fathoms of the Sunless Sea. As a rouge-lite you will unlock traits that carry down to your next character, allowing a slightly easier (not the right word as this is not an easy path) way to go each time you have to restart your journey. The stories you'll encounter are well-written pieces of candy that make the struggle all worthwhile as you travel from port to port. This game does not help guide you, and you must rely on memory, or break out your mapping gear. The game is dark, there are even situations where you may end up eating your crew! Perseverance is your strongest weapon along your path to discovery, and the path is long. There is far more than I can easily describe as the game is also fairly deep. Rouge-Lite fans will be right at home, and adventurers will be delighted with the world to discover. Expand
