Syberia: The World Before is a wonderful return to form for Benoît Sokal’s venerable series. Beautiful, engaging, and moving, it’s the strongest chapter in Kate Walker’s journey yet.
The World Before is about peaceful and slow self-search, revealing life stories and fighting adversity. The great atmosphere of the first two parts was managed by the developers to replay brilliantly.

Masterpiece in decades for decades. Deep, thoughtful, moving, and personal. Unlike most modern games, which tritely approve and advertise violence, this game stands for goodness and hope. "Syberia: The World Before" combines an exciting novel, high-quality interactive cinema, and smart puzzles. I've completed this game twice and recommend it to anyone who appreciates worthwhile things.

Syberia: The World Before is an incredibly well cared for audiovisual work, with an overwhelming cinematographic work.
A touching homage to Benoît Sokal, Syberia: The World Before leaves the problems of the previous game behind and manages to bring us once again in the wonderful world designed by the Belgian author. It's not perfect in every part, but the whole experience is emotional and surprising: a worthy chapter in Kate Walker's saga.
Despite some uncertainty in the writing of the scenes and a few too many smudges in the technical sector, in our opinion Syberia The World Before is a title that is enjoyable both for veterans and for newbies about to approach the series for the first time, and therefore we can only advise you to give Microids' latest effort a chance.
Well attached to its inspirations and classic patterns in terms of narration and game design, Syberia The World Before is a very good point and click adventure, and a great tribute to Benoit Sokal.
The World Before is more of an interactive story than an adventure game. The gameplay was a letdown, but the story and the world were quite OK. You have to decide yourself what's more important for you.
Kicsit nekem másabbnak hatott, mint az eddigi Syberia játékok, pl a fejtörők itt már nem voltak túl nehezek, a pályák könnyen teljesíthetőek, nem kell sok tárggyal bíbelődni az inventoryban, szóval nem kell rajta sokat gondolkozni, hogy éppen mit kell csinálni. A történet viszont rendben volt, ez a több szálon/időben való cselekmény egész jól hozta össze az egész szorit.

What I Like about Syberia: The World Before
+ Atmosphere is really great. The spirit and style of the first two games are completely passed on to this one.
+ Attention to details and memorable locations in the game
+ Nice Russian localization
+ Lovely music
What I Dislike about Syberia: The World Before
- Terrible controls. Don't know why, but my mouse clicks didn't respond on the first try. Sometimes it was a real challenge to open a document or move in the game.
- A few critical bugs were found during the game. The blocked me and forced to find a solution on YouTube.
- Graphics (especially facial) looks obsolete and mediocre in 2022
