Whilst I was aware of The Escapists, it was never a game on my most wanted list, but having now played for a good number of hours and still only scratching the surface, I can wholeheartedly recommend picking this up and get involved with one of the first great indie titles of 2015.

The Escapists is a wonderfully deep and complex puzzle game that reels you in further and further as you make progress from one prison to the next.

You might not want to live in one of The Escapists' prisons, but you will definitely enjoy the visit.

The Escapists may look almost like a casual game, but it's exactly the opposite, a deep sandbox experience that needs an 'investment' from the player to become really enjoyable.

The Escapists oozes charm, but due to the inherent nature of the game, it has a tendency to be boring. It takes a lot of patience to make your escape, and you'll spend a lot of your time waiting. This may be a turn off for some, but for others it may make that final escape all the more satisfying.

A brilliantly unique indie escape-'em-up that combines stealth, strategy, and simulation to great effect, but you'll need saint-like patience to get the most out of it.

What looks like a bright and breezy game turns out to be an incredibly stiff challenge that can occasionally be hugely rewarding. More often than not, however, The Escapists is about as pleasurable as a swift kick in the bollocks.

You must gather more items and craft and work out and do jobs to escape, you have more than one escape route to take, would you rather dig out of your cell or in solitary? Or you will cut the fences while wearing a guard uniform to run? The choice is yours.

This game worths every penny you use to buy it, so what are you waiting for? BUY IT NOW!!!

It has a very deep and useful crafting system but some of the combinations are a bit strange. Also it can be frustrating if you have been doing a lot during the day and then just muck up by accident and have to repeat the whole day but overall The Esapist is a great game and one of the best on the ID@Xbox scheme Expand

The gameThe Escapists is a game which fans of puzzles and crafting will enjoy a lot and one in which you can invest a huge amount of time. The game lets you go for the 'easy' escape where you can probably finish a level within about 3 hours max, while it also provides creative minds with the opportunity to plot an amazing escape.

The graphic style suits the game well as does the sound, although the music can get annoying at times.

The game's biggest flaw is the lack of story, character and A.I. acting in a too 'programmed' fashion.

However, that also brought in one of the most annoying bugs I've ever experienced in a video game. If you play this game and then let another user play it, the first user has a chance to lose ALL of their progress. This one bug, being so often and annoying, dampened my opinion of this near-perfect game. Expand
