A New Frontier could have been the beginning of the end for Telltale's The Walking Dead. Risks were taken but they paid off brilliantly. Players will still be chasing the summit reached by the first season's teary final moments, but this episode closes a season-long arc that is Telltale's most thematically satisfying and emotionally resonant to date. It's a tale of family, responsibility, atonement, and inevitably, loss. It captures what this whole season stood for and breathes new life into the series.

The finale focuses on your legacy and what you want to leave behind with Javier, who made his share of mistakes before the apocalypse. Seeing the man he grows into is satisfying, especially knowing you had a hand in influencing his relationships and choices. However, it all leads back to Clementine in the end, making this adventure just feel like a side story in her larger arc.

The developer should let her golden eggs's hen rest because the hen starts to smell dead.

Not a great way to end this season, unfortunately. From the Gallows is not bad but feels like a rushed way to conclude the Javi's story.

I was worried that this final episode was going to let down the whole season (based on gameplay from previous episodes). Instead it was able to redeem itself and provide us with what was lacking before – engagement. It also also paved the way for the next season where hopefully we will see more of Clementine’s story (which will make a lot of Clementine fans happy).

The final episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier ties most of the loose ends up, has a great middle, but is sandwiched by mediocrity at best. ‘From The Gallows’ is only worth grabbing if you’ve made it this far already.

Players won't find a satisfying story in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Episode 5: From The Gallows, just disappointment from their time being wasted.

I felt it spent way too much time on love story of 2 characters I hope isn't the main focus in the future. I did like how the story still has lasting effects on Clementine but part of me wanted more there.

My biggest complaint is the story lengths, especially episode 5. For as good as the story is, it isn't nearly as long or as user interactive as past seasons. Sure some of the ending of this was wrapped in a little bow, but the story could have been so much more.

Absolute trash. It's like they outsourced the story to the Telemundo's writing room so you get this horrible mind-numbing Spanish soap withAbsolute trash. It's like they outsourced the story to the Telemundo's writing room so you get this horrible mind-numbing Spanish soap with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Nothing in the ending is resolved and you're hit with an after credits scene that says "Clementine's story will continue..." further proving they had absolutely no idea what to do with this season. GET THE REAL ENDING IN THE DLC :) Expand
