The extra game modes, graphical fidelity, sound design, and improved controls make for a long and tasteful experience.

I enjoyed this game hugely myself, but I couldn’t get my nine year old son to put it down! It really is a title that will appeal to all ages. I can’t help but recommend Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops to everyone, especially fans of the old Cannon Fodder games. The game is tremendous fun and will keep you playing for a long time to come. It’s easily some of the best fun I have had with my Xbox One.

An easy to learn but challenging twin-stick shooter, with a cute toyish modern war look and many levels to play. Its excessive simplicity could end up in being boring after a bunch of hours though, and lack of co-op looks like a missed opportunity.

Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops exists as a console port of two similar mobile games, which bring with them basic but relatively enjoyable gameplay. If you're looking for something simple and not so taxing, this isn't a bad buy for ten dollars.

Solid twin-stick action that lacks diversity, while you sense the mobile roots at every corner.

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is an easy to pick up, fun little twin stick shooter and it's hard to criticize the title or find any particular fault with the game.

Shooting is so bland that firing a gun carries all the excitement of filing a tax return. [Apr 2016, p.91]

This game had the potential of being an 8 or even a 9 but the amount of glitches and annoyances not only make this a lower rated game, but it makes it avoidable.
I LOVE top down or twin stick shooters. When I fist downloaded I was in love...but then reality set in.

The first thing to annoy me was that the play fields only let you go in very specific places, so once you took out some bad guys or collected something, you couldn't just go to your next objective. You literally have to backtrack at a snails pace to get to your next position.

Next...several times I got stuck on the map. DO NOT go near an edge or border as a glitch will keep you there and you will have to abort and restart. Also, there is a very specific way that your characters move together. If one of them gets stuck behind an object (especially trees), the others will get stuck as if they are all glued together.

The straw that broke the camel's back that made me delete this from my console was one of the missions where the objective was to shoot from a moving tank and all you have to do is survive. There is a secondary objective where you can kill all the infantry.....but its not really secondary. At intersections, if you do not kill all the infantry, your tank will not proceed. And then, son-of-a-gun, some of those infantry are out of range. So after 10 minutes of trying to shoot them (because they won't move) and realizing that your tank wont move because he is still alive, I was forced to abort. Repeat the same thing 3 or 4 more times.

Lastly, before going into missions, you have the option of "hiring" an extra person (specialist) for that mission. It is very helpful and a nice thing to have if you need it. Unfortunately, after about 20% of the missions, the button becomes "grayed" out and you can't use it anymore. No explanations. No help online as to why this happens...even when you restart the game.

Honestly...I am convinced with 100% certainty that Wired Productions NEVER play-tested this game. So much potential and so poorly executed that I will purposely avoid anyhting ever made by Wired Productions and strongly urge you to do the same.
