This is the definitive version of this game and those with next gen consoles and a love for the franchise should absolutely pick this up.

If you love the genre, this is like an all-star package; and even for those a little cold on the idea of the games this is definitely worth a look.

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is like an encyclopedia of the Musou series condensed in a single game, with a metric ton of contents rendered in a rock-solid 60fps frame-rate. Its old-gen legacy is however still too strong, compromising the entire production.

This Ultimate edition represents for Warriors Orochi what the Xtreme Legends Complete Edition represented for Dynasty Warriors: great content compendium of the old saga tradition but poor technological innovation for the new console generation. It's time to use tech force, Omega Force.

Fans of the series will chastise us for rating it so low, and that’s probably fair. If you’re a fan, you’ll enjoy it due to the sheer amount of characters on hand from all of the Warriors universes, and that over-the-top hack and slash gameplay that you already like. If you’re not already deeply involved with any of the franchises though, you’re going to find a game that is inescapably fun at times and that shows an awful lot of promise, but which is ultimately let down by some poor design decisions and some somewhat dodgy AI.

At it's core it's a simple hack and slash game. Where you are a general, put on a historical ancient Asian battlefield and your actions can change history. But Orochi adds famous Samurai along with the legendary Chinese generals. How do you put Chinese and Samurai generals from different feudal eras together in one game? You throw in a story Godzilla would be proud of. Which makes perfect sense, since this series is immensely popular in Japan. The game features 145 characters you can unlock. It features a 2 player co-op and 2 player online mode. The story is fully voice acted in Japanese with English subtitles. The story won't win any prizes. The instructions are weak, but it's simple enough for anyone to learn. If you loved the Dynasty warriors series you will love this game. Expand

Greetings Dynasty Warrior Fans. Prepare to hit the thumbs down button because I am going to tell you nothing but the truth from my own merits.Greetings Dynasty Warrior Fans. Prepare to hit the thumbs down button because I am going to tell you nothing but the truth from my own merits. When I first booted the game, the opening cutscene won me over! Then I press start and I am amazed at all the options/modes that are presented to me. (Versus mode, gauntlet mode and etc.) So I go into the story where I am met with another great cutscene opening up the story and then Koei Temco gets lazy and decides to use still static images!? So as I start playing through the mindnumbing fun levels, I notice that eventhough I am having a blast unlocking fighters and listening to the dialogue through "still images with repeated dialogue" (disappointing if I do say so myself) I noticed at how repetitive the game gets. The mission structure has not changed since the first Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games. Its the same old formula of "kill a thousands of enemies, level up your fighters and engage in repetitive boss fights over and over again." -_- On top of that laughable and useless bond system that is needed for some levels to unlock fighters like "KASUMI" (who take hours upon days to unlock) and the outlandish and lazy dialogue interactions between NPCs. (Why couldn't we just choose what we want to say or date some of the fighters in a hilarious or serious matter) Despite my many gripes with the game regarding bugs, glitches, screen tearing, technical errors such as foliage that grows when you come close to the ground and many more issues that even the patch update from last year COULD NOT FIX.....it is still an enjoyable game...at bargain bin price. PLEASE KOEI TEMCO! Step up your game in your next sequels! PLEASE? Expand

What can I say. After the 4th Dynasty Warrior game/some spinoffs, It just got repetitive, boring, not entertaining, story is a cluster ****What can I say. After the 4th Dynasty Warrior game/some spinoffs, It just got repetitive, boring, not entertaining, story is a cluster **** combat is mundane and too simplistic and overall it is just slightly above average. IT IS NOT A BAD GAME but.... it is one thing....BORING AND REPETITIVE AS ****KKKK! Koei Temco.... please change the combat (ADD MORE **** UNLOCKABLE COMBOS) and add more missions to the game. Your game can have 210 fighters in Warriors Orochi 4 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 but if the COMBAT IS REPETITIVE and the story is A GIANT CLUSTER **** why should I care??? This game was the worst 22nd birthday gift ever. *unistalls on Xbox One and smashes game disc to bits/piss on it* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKK THIS GAME! Cry Dynasty Warrior fans! CRRRRRRRY! Expand

This game is good. It's a Dynasty Warriors spin off, but that's all it is. It tries to be something it can't be: a Dynasty Warriors game. ThisThis game is good. It's a Dynasty Warriors spin off, but that's all it is. It tries to be something it can't be: a Dynasty Warriors game. This game feels like it was rushed simply so that it would make money quicker and it wouldn't coincide with Godseekers. Honestly, this is the worst Dynasty Warriors game (or spinoff) I've ever played. Expand
