Despite various shortcomings like lack of polish in combat, some disorientating segments set in three dimensions and a very short duration, it manages to maintain a satisfactory level of quality through its unique world, beautiful, artistic design and pure enjoyment. Woolfe - Red Hood Diaries is a "fair-y" game after all.
Divided in two volumes, the GRIN Studio’s game aims high in its mix of platforms, puzzles and hack 'n slash.
Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is enjoyable for its strong atmosphere and audio, but unfortunately some of the poor gameplay mechanics just kill the overall experience.
Woolfe - The Red Hood Diaries looks like a rushed game that lacks of ambition. From the underdeveloped combat system to the hasty story, everything is a big disappointment.
Woolfe paints a pretty picture, but the gameplay leaves much to be desired.
Technically, it’s not particularly well made either. Beyond the poor collision detection and weird invisible walls, I encountered multiple bugs.
