   I started playing it on XoX and PS4 Pro, now I play in True Vault Hunter mode on XSX. Inputlag on XSX is significantly less than on XoX and PS4 Pro, the graphics quality on SXS is amazing in 4K, my Nvidia 1070TI could only work normally in 1440p 60 fps… Expand

   It is definitely a great game. Not such a masterpiece like borderlands 2 but still pretty awesome. Story is not excellent but makes you pushIt is definitely a great game. Alternate firing modes, alien barrels, returning element from pre sequel and a brand new element. Loot is great but looting is not. Legendary drop rates are extremely high and you can throw a legendary weapon away unlike borderlands 2. It gives you even more options to challange yourself. Melee runs are more doable. Skill trees are more detailed. Only issue is performance. Game has lags even on series x. But if you liked other borderlands games, you'll like this one too.… Expand

   This game feels dated. If it was relesed 10-15 years ago, it would've been great. Today one should expect more from an AAA title. The thingThis game feels dated. If it was relesed 10-15 years ago, it would've been great. Today one should expect more from an AAA title. The thing that keeps it interesting now is the comedy writing. The humor is (and has always been) great, and I love that. The voice acting is top notch.
   
   What about the game itself? Lots of fun guns to keep the gameplay fresh. But, the problem is that the game world feels lifeless and empty. The game is divided into small areas with loading between each zone (who even does this in 2021? This mechanic belongs to the PS2 era). Because of this, the map system is very frustrating, since you need to navigate to fast travel A LOT between the small areas.
   
   Kudos for implementing a 120hz mode, even though the game seem poorly optimized (The resolution drop is just not worth it). In 60fps mode, the game starts struggling when increasing the FOV (Default:75). Real fps probably between 45-50. I think with this kind of cel shaded cartoonish style, this game could've been ran much better on the XSX.
   
   This is one of those games that still works because of creative people behind it. But when you start playing you're constantly reminded that this game still feels stuck in the PS2/early PS3 era (except for the increased resolution in quality mode). Can only recommend if you're a huge Borderlands fan.
   
   I'd really dig this game if gearbox would've:
   - Created a seamless open world instead of small areas with loading between (That would fix the map frustrations as well)
   - Optimized the game better on consoles
   - Made the world more interesting, more NPCs, interactions, generally add stuff to make the world more life like.
   - Improved upon the driving of vehicles (feels archaic)… Expand

   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After 3 patches on the XBOX series X, the game still crashed like 7 times and freeze my console twice to the point that I had to do a hard Reset.i finally finished this broken game. Not only the story is terrible bad, like most of the characters, are unlikeable and flat, but they also ruined the BL2 characters they have no roll in the history and they personalities feel off as if they are not important anymore. If you want true BL2 sequel you most likely not founded here nor in the over $99 of DLC and season passes. Is is really ashame since the "gun-play" is still very solid but you can't skip the awful in-game cutscenes or the faceless final of the story which is a complete rip-off of the iron giant/reckit ralph, I don't know what when wrong when supervising the story but it was like watching a tv show from the 80s but like bad 80s shows not the good one.… Expand

After reading others experiences outside of metacritic, looks like the developer has 0 plans to fix this. This game is entirely a cash grab. Spend 60-100 dollars for a game that crashes every 10-30 min.… Expand
