Fashion Police Squad (FPS) is a delightful first-person shooter that’s in on the joke of policing obnoxious neons, socks in sandals (who DOES that?!), and the faux pas of ill-fitting suits. Its DOOM-esque shooting and platforming hearkens back to a time where games were less serious, more simple, and in some ways, more fun. If you’re a fan of shooting in style, Zoolander, and DOOM, look no further than FPS on the Nintendo Switch. Overly baggy jeans be warned — Sergeant Des will slap you right into shape.
To be sure, Fashion Police Squad isn’t going to make you forget the games it’s borrowing from. But part of why it’s so fun is because it’s poking fun at a genre that can sometimes feel like it hasn’t evolved much since the original DOOM, and showing that there’s still room for it to grow and evolve. As Fashion Police Squad shows, there’s still some life – and some room to innovate – in the old genre yet.

This game is an absolutely hidden gem doom style. very very very very funny and solid. I create an account just to review this game.

I must say that I didn't expect this game to be so good. Nothing to complain about, you can see the love that the developers put into it and the level of production is quite high for the type of game it is. Very original, fun, varied and long. Let's hope or more games like this!

Fashion Police Squad is a boomer shooter with a fashion-infused twist, and that twist has resulted in one of the most innovative shooters on the market right now. Despite the latter stages of the campaign proving somewhat frustrating due to the sheer amount of split-second decisions that need to be made, Fashion Police Squad rises above any gripes I have by providing something genuinely new and, most importantly, incredibly fun.
A vibrant, fast paced FPS that riffs on Doom and Quake in humorous ways, Fashion Police Squad blends its retro inspirations with more modern day sensibilities for a fun if brief game. The Switch version of the game is an excellent port of the PC original, now including gyro controls and taking full benefit of the updates that have been released since launch.
Despite some performance issues on Switch compared to the PC version I played, a nice gyro control implementation helps elevate the Fashion Police Squad experience on Nintendo Switch. It is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to try out a unique take on the boomer shooter subgenre.
This fast-paced retro-inspired FPS is a treat for fans of the genre, though there’s little to pull in those who don’t fancy a shoot-off. Despite some annoying platforming sections, Fashion Police Squad offers an alternative to the norm while providing all of the running and gunning fun, looking like a million dollars while it does it.
At the end of the day, Fashion Police Squad is a cute, rather lightweight game with a strong sense of humor, telling a simple joke over and over… but it’s a joke that makes me smile, and isn’t that what really matters? I had fun with it and I enjoy its approach to things. Control issues might be there, but that’s really about choice of interface, and if you’re looking for a solid retro FPS on the Switch, it’s a strong candidate. One might even call it… vivacious.

The platforming may be a little bit too janky, and the arena fights are a pain, but for the budget price you can’t go far wrong! Drip and tear …. until it is done!"

This is one fun game, it is totally unique, it uses a very cool concept and idea, impeccable humor or even story. It's a good old school first person perspective ahooter and platformer. Even though it is intentional though the graphics are not great and the game is pretty short
