Gungrave G.O.R.E proves that keeping with a series' core elements, no matter how old, can be a positive weapon to use when bringing an older franchise back to the masses. Its arcade-style gameplay loops offer quick ten-minute bursts of explosive action that are thrilling to play out while challenging to master at higher difficulties or chasing top ranks. Iggymob has created a game that brings nostalgic PS2-era mechanics to the latest generation of consoles and Xbox Game Pass, and you should definitely check it out. Grave remains the badass hero we need in our lives.

Grave returns from the grave with an action-packed hack & slash adventure. Maybe graphically it is not what we expect for 2022, but it is perfectly enjoyable.

Gungrave G.O.R.E.'s gameplay won't be for everyone and most gamers who never played the last few games on PlayStation 2 will be lost. The constant combat can wear some people down and the sound of guns blazing becomes white noise after several minutes. Replay value is high - Grave's stats and abilities can be upgraded and there is more than just Grave to play as. Gungrave G.O.R.E. is definitely an acquired taste, but gamers who do have a taste for this brand of carnage will be in for a feast. This is the biggest and longest entry in the series, easily clocking past the 15-hour range. It borders on being excessive with how many stages there are, but this may be the final Gungrave, and it's great to carry that coffin again.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. is a game with few strengths and many flaws. Thankfully most of these issues are small and the combat may allow one to look past them and still have a good time. That was almost the case for me but the repetitive encounters, the often frustrating level/boss design and the absolutely infuriating platforming, stuck with me more than the stylish combat and awesome attack animations. I’d recommend folks to try the game on game pass to see if the combat clicks, but otherwise I think it’s time for Grave to go back to sleep.

Gungrave G.O.R.E is clunky and basic - two words that no hack and slash shooter this side of the Xbox 360 should be associated with.

There's some fun to be had in Gungrave G.O.R.E, but it's buried beneath piles of significant issues.

The whole experience is outdated and poorly designed which leads to nothing but frustration and regret. To add icing to the terrible cake, the game lacks any sort of coherent story or even likeable characters to help get players through the rest of the problems. When the only nice thing you can say about a game is that it works, well things are rather bleak I am afraid. Gungrave G.O.R.E is, simply a bad experience and one I can’t recommend for anyone, even those with a deep love for the IP it is based upon.

The game rests on two iron pillars, the first thing you can see is how the developers loved Gungrave and tried to invest every cent in the game despite the average budget. The second is the gameplay itself and the combat system is a child's dream, because the Bible Epic is happening on the screen.
The player seems to be dancing with weapons, two pistols, almost like Dante's, and his huge coffin on his back, allow the player to create complete chaos on the screen, because there are a lot of ranged attacks and it all looks mega spectacular and epic.
The 2002 Gungrave anime is still remembered with warmth in my heart, as is the Ps2 game, and I was very surprised that G.O.R.E was associated with previous Gungrave works, thanks a lot to the developers for loving this iconic character and really looking forward to continuing the new one G.O.R.E, because the game is super and there are no direct analogues on the video game market right now.
PS, I have already completed the game on XBOX Series X at 1000g ❤

    Bad-
Bland, uninteresting story; Overly simplistic gameplay; You can't fire your guns by holding down the trigger; Clunky and sluggish movement; Extremely linear levels; Repetitive.

    Thoughts-
It’s a shame that Gungrave G.O.R.E has so much working against it. If not for the developers’ misguided attempt at making a game that’s too old school for its own good, it could have been a solid enough action experience in its own right, but unfortunately, there’s just too much holding it back, and in ways that are far from easy to forgive. Whether its the bland story, the repetitive and straightforward gameplay, or some of its baffling design decisions, Gungave G.O.R.E keeps finding ways to keep tripping over itself. If you have a hankering for an old school action game that evokes the gameplay style of PS2 era titles, you’ll be far better served looking into something like Evil West.

Did the developers really think this was a good idea?
    Motion like PS2.
    Graphics like PS3.
    Gimmicks like Resident Evil 4.
    I can't believe it's a 2022 game.
The character's face is also weird.
    I'm a Gungrave fan.
However, I can only think of this as an indie game, not a sequel.
The stylish part of Gungrave is missing.
It seems to me that the character's personality has also changed.
When I thought Gungrave was back, it was another piece of garbage.
I will never buy anything from this developer again.
    Trust is gone.
I am very angry that my favorite series was betrayed by this game.
