    Literally the least funny/ most annyoing game ever. You have no voice yet the developer thought it was a good idea to let Morty scream in your ears for hours. There isnt even fun enemies to fight.
    The only thing it has going for it is the creative world design. But even that is just getting boring after a few hours. Even faster when you already know Rick and Mortys style.

    One of the worst games I’ve ever played. I noticed Xbox fans were definitely trying their best to hype this, and now that it has released, we know the truth- it’s bad. Very bad. The cringe dialogue was enough to make me stop playing it.

    Got stuck in an infinite loading screen right before last boss. I feel like I wasted my time... Until is fixed, if ever, I can't recommend it to anyone. However, High on life Is a good game with a very specific taste of humor, either you like it on not. Enjoyable game mechanics and decent graphs. Plot is ok, nothing extraordinary.

    everything about this game is so disappointing and terrible. the story is bad. the dialogue is annoying and cringe plus its overrated. skip this game . its not worth your money. playstation has better games. play those instead.

    This game is very dependent on whether you like the humour. At first I thought it was quite funny, but it got a bit annoying a couple hours in. That's not the main reason I score it low though. The gameplay is kinda boring and there are some game breaking issues. Performance wasn't great but the biggest issue is the checkpoint system. I got stuck a few hours in and it checkpointed me.     The humor is very hit or miss and roiland doing the same stammering annoying voice for 12 hours was nearly unbearable. That's not even mentioning the half dozen soft locks and other bugs.     Su Arte y diseño es de 10, su gunplay es de 3, la historia de cero(bromas sin sentido y con problemas de traduccion) musica de 6 , rendimiento cero. Me duele ver proyectos como estè , ya que se ve que un grupo de gente talentosa estuvo bajo ordenes de otra gente que no tenia ni idea de como hacer un buen videojuego.     Le début du jeu est tonitruant et déborde d’un humour… assez particulier, pour ne pas dire bassement bête et provocateur, voire idiot et irrévérencieux… et particulièrement vulgaire ! avec une allusion (private joke) bien vue à Fallout 3 certes mais tout cela tourne rapidement en rond…

    La jouabilité se révèle répétitive et très médiocre… simplette et réduite à sa plus simple expression, sans nuance, bête et brutale : tire sur des trucs avec ton flingue qui parle…! et c’est qu’il en raconte des conneries, ce flingue (on dirait Némo !). Tous ces dialogues de plus en plus ineptes qui parlent pour ne rien dire, s’avèrent d’ailleurs très fatigants.

    Quand on ne flingue pas, on saute et on s’accroche : ce n’est ici qu’un jeu de plateformes en vue subjective, rapidement ennuyeux. L’environnement est de mauvais goût et très criard… on dirait un indé en 256 couleurs ! alors qu’en vérité, c’est tout de même un peu mieux que ça.

    Mais sur consoles, du moins, il ne tient jamais ses 60 im/s et fait le yoyo : c’est très désagréable, surtout au vu de la tronche du jeu et de ses niveaux étriqués ! Enfin bref, on ne va pas y passer la nuit : ce jeu est une daube ! il s’est cru très main et très ‘marrant’… mais il est simplement con comme ses pieds !    … Expand

    Uma idéia até que de certa forma interessante em alguns pontos, mas muito mal executada. Com poucos minutos de jogo se percebe o quão massante é a mecânica de combate, que basicamente se resume a ficar atirando sem variações. Mais uma decepção em 2022.

    Infelizmente o jogo é mais uma grande decepção. Gameplay extremamente repetitiva e cansativa. O fato de fazerem alternancia de armas não muda em nada esta dinâmica. Basicamente o que muda é a Skin. Por fim é chato e cansativo ao extremo. Decepção!

    I can't say for sure if you'll love this game without being a Rick and Morty fan. There's zero connection to the show beyond the voice actors and creator, but the humor is very similar. That being said, I have heard people say they aren't really into R&M but love this game. Personally, this was the best experience I've had playing on my Series X. The graphics are slick, with a style that shows a lot of creativity and love. The writing is hilarious -- honestly this is classic LucasArts level of humor (and meta-humor.) The gunplay isn't best-in-class but it's more than serviceable. Did I mention how funny this game is yet? Literally laughed out loud many, many times.

    It is SO refreshing to play an original game that has no motive beyond entertaining me and making me laugh. The AAA and Indie scene has gone very stale, hopefully some of those creative types take a break to get High on Life before making their next game. We need more entertainment focused on fun.    … Expand

    This game is nauseating, legitimately. I tried to play and couldn’t because I was so nauseated, so I had to stop. Tried to watch a steamer play it and still nauseated. I am not sick, ill or anything of the sort. I was so hyped for this game because I love the style and humour. But it’s a hard pass now. Shame.

    But, frankly analyzing the product, the only aspect that makes the game stand out are the smart and funny lines along with the subtle    The game is a lot of fun and made me laugh countless times, there were times when I paused the game to have time to hold back my laughter, as I really like the humor shown in the TV series "Rick and Morty" (the series that the game was heavily inspired).

    But, frankly analyzing the product, the only aspect that makes the game stand out are the smart and funny lines along with the subtle and bold jokes, which are scattered throughout the plot. And the fact that there is no translation into Portuguese ends up destroying the great advantage of the game for most Brazilians who do not understand the languages made available by the developers, fueling the serious misconception of Americans who faithfully believe that Brazilians understand Spanish fluently.

    (Recalling that the Brazilian game market is one of the largest in the world and it is practically unacceptable that an Indie game as audacious as this one that came out at the end of 2022 comes without translation into Portuguese even though it has support for several other languages).

    Looking at the game from the perspective of someone who doesn't understand the language being spoken, it's a mediocre and even tiring game.    … Expand

    As an enjoyer of Rick and Morty hearing the same voices saying the most random things all the time: I almost felt sad for the writers because it just seemed like the dialogue was terrible improv instead of actual comedic writing. Repeating “f*ck f*ck oh f*ck man that dude is totally f*cked like whoa” isn’t comedy and sadly the game is filled with a slurry of “comedic” lines to that affect.

    Breaking the 4th wall is funny when you don’t expect it but the game is just like any recent episode of Rick & Morty, obnoxious, unfunny and attempting to be meta by pointing out the joke or a trope while it’s happening. Very underwhelming.

    Even details like the interdimensional cable which is usually funny because of the limitless possibilities of scenarios and comedy falls flat and sounds like a middle aged man was given a podcast microphone and various psychedelics…
    Overall, i think it’s a waste of time and money, for us and them. The game is visually beautiful and the concept is amazing but the story and writing are terrible and it just becomes a glorified platformer with no sense of achievement since every “unlockable” is basically given to you…    … Expand

After I beat the first mosquito looking female boss I was just exhausted, such a drag. Points for uniqueness though!… Expand

    Game is pretty good.

    BUT! I was playing this on XBOX PC and none of the achievements popped, for me that was extremely annoying, I wasted about 2 hours of time in total trying to fix the issue with no luck.

    Do NOT play it if you're an achievements hunter because everything requires NEW GAME FROM START.

    No fue mucho de mi agrado, tiene bonitos gráficos pero no logro atraparme, buen humor, gameplay muy estándar. Un juego acordé para las necesidades de los usuarios de Xbox.

    High on Life is an enjoyable yet silly first person shooter that works on most levels. While the humour sometimes misses he target, for the most part it is quite a witty and humouress story with interesting protagonists and antagonists to be found along the way as you explore this immersive alien shooter. Definitely a game for those looking for something unique yet different in the first person shooter genre.

    Humor is sometimes tough to get right. You have to pace it right and you shouldn’t overdo it. Justin Roiland and co. unfortunately throw it at you in mindless spades and hope something sticks. And underneath it all? Just a very average shooter.
