Immortals: Fenyx Rising is a wonderfully crafted epic in which Ubisoft Quebec celebrate rather than shay away from their influences to deliver humour and action in equal doses.

Immortals contains all the ingredients I want from an epic, open-world adventure steeped in mythology. With empowering combat, rewarding exploration, and a story that shines a spotlight on its characters through humor, Immortals Fenyx Rising leverages its myriad inspirations to discover its own identity and deliver an outstanding open-world experience.
  3. As an adaptation of the Assassin's Creed RPG style to a breezier, more open and more playful world, Immortals Fenyx Rising is a total success. It might come off second best to Breath of the Wild, and its chatty and light-hearted take on subject matter traditionally treated in games as dark and bloody might not be to everyone's taste, but the treatment of greek myth's gods and monsters here makes for a delightful experience in its own right.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is an enjoyable and fun adventure, with a classic open-world gameplay structure in a fascinating and humourous setting. We would have liked more enemy variety, but even so, it's definitely a game to take in consideration.

Ultimately, Immortals Fenyx Rising may not take itself too seriously but it ends up offering an emotional story of family drama with some genuinely funny moments. There is a lot of familiarity both in the game's DNA and the core gameplay loops, but it is still a fun experience nonetheless. Immortals Fenyx Rising, as with all new IP, may have been a risky jump for Ubisoft, but it was a leap worth taking.

Its attempts at humor may flop, but Immortals succeeds at being a fun and engaging Breath of the Wild clone.

The blandness of the gameplay might have been somewhat forgivable if the game’s narrative didn’t suffer from an identity crisis.

There is so much to do and explore within such a stunning map. There are an array of tasks to do, specifically puzzles which can be tricky at certain points but once you find out how to accomplish them it is very rewarding.

A lot of people compare this with botw and I can see the comparison but I believe this is a more streamlined experience. I loved botw but there were some things that I didn’t like about Zelda which was breakable weapons, here in fenyx all your weapons and gear is saveable and so I find that it is more special when you get some cool loot. Another thing with the loot is that if you get a weapon with cool stats but you don’t like the look of it then you can change the weapons appearance with one that you own.

Der größteMan kann sagen, was man will, aber dieses Spiel IST ein The Legend of Zelda-Breath of the Wild Klon!

I debated whether or not to write this but seeing so many critic reviews praise the game for a lack of bugs, I felt I needed to. Bug-free hasI debated whether or not to write this but seeing so many critic reviews praise the game for a lack of bugs, I felt I needed to. Bug-free has NOT been my experience in the 15 hours I've played thus far. Playing on Series X, installed to the internal SSD, I've averaged a crash to dashboard every 1.5 hours of play. That's an average, not a hard and fast value; For example, I had three crashes to dashboard during the prologue alone. Two crashes happened while inside Vaults of Tartaros, which meant all my progress was lost for those entire puzzles. I've had Fenyx (and multiple enemies) get stuck in textures, fall through world terrain, and get (or be) hit when hitboxes are meters (in game) away. It's not as buggy as, say, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but it's still loaded with bugs. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game on the expansion card -- the problems persisted.

And this is all very sad to write because the game itself is so much better than Valhalla or Watch Dogs Legion. It isn't some grimdark affair. It's colorful and dense and full of great snark, sarcasm, and groanworthy dad jokes. The art is fantastic, the world is a joy to look at and run around in. The combat, when it's not buggy, is much more fun and fluid than ACV. The sound is great and the music is top notch. If not for the bugs, I'd give this a solid 9. With the bugs, however, especially ones that cause crashes and loss of progress, it's staying at 7 for now.

Bought from Epic, haven't been able to play still. Tried the rename _plus.exe trick, moved to SSD on C, verified, uninstalled, reinstalledBought from Epic, haven't been able to play still. Tried the rename _plus.exe trick, moved to SSD on C, verified, uninstalled, reinstalled (multiple times) from both Epic and Ubisoft...still doesn't work. No crash logs, no anything, just instant crash on launch. Ubisoft support has been a complete joke and just regurgitates the same stupid "have you tried updating your drivers" trash updates with no one actually doing their job and looking into what's going on. 100% unplayable waste of hard drive space. Probably works great on console, but for PC...total waste of hard drive space. Expand
