    NBA 2K23 continues to set the bar for sports titles, as it plays just as smooth and realistic as ever, which is not much of a surprise at this point, as well as retains its very in-depth modes and features, while adding a few new ones. The Jordan Challenge's return is a nice addition, but MyNBA Eras is truly an outstanding mode/feature that makes this game instantly worth buying for anyNBA 2K23 continues to set the bar for sports titles, as it plays just as smooth and realistic as ever, which is not much of a surprise at this point, as well as retains its very in-depth modes and features, while adding a few new ones. The Jordan Challenge's return is a nice addition, but MyNBA Eras is truly an outstanding mode/feature that makes this game instantly worth buying for any fan of franchise mode. The amount of depth, realism, and love put into Eras is so great to see and allows any NBA fan to accurately recreate the league from various points in NBA history, although I wish we could get even more specific with the starting years. A common downside to 2K, as always, is the micro-transactions in other modes, which is nothing new at this point and while I don't pay a dime, I know others are forced to. A new con, though, is the new shooting meter, which definitely takes a lot of time to get used to, and I'm not quite sure why 2K changed it again. Otherwise, 2K23 definitely is another hit for easily the deepest and most polished sports game on the market today.… Expand

    Best NBA 2k in years. Gameplay feels a lot smoother. Love the Jordan Challenge.

    Of course what was coming for NBA 2K23 on next gen, like adding eras, bringing the Jordan Challenge back to make it better, as well as improvement the gameplay and keeping it stable. A lot of things might be worth but it's safe to say NBA 2K23 on next gen is one of the best basketball.

    Decided to stop paying for it this year. Much better experience this year without playing the game! Reading a book or playing basketball outdoors is preferable!

    NBA 2K23 is the game that will be remembered for years to come, the measuring stick for what is expected from a triple A sports game. It's the NFL 2K5 of basketball video-gaming. So many things to do and everything is done in ultra high quality. From the gorgeous graphics, to the amazing animations, and the countless signature styles from shooting to replicating a players runningNBA 2K23 is the game that will be remembered for years to come, the measuring stick for what is expected from a triple A sports game. It's the NFL 2K5 of basketball video-gaming. So many things to do and everything is done in ultra high quality. From the gorgeous graphics, to the amazing animations, and the countless signature styles from shooting to replicating a players running animations this game will continue to astonish you each time you power up your console.     Home to some of the most immersive experiences, detailed graphics, and engaging features in the sports game industry, NBA 2K23 has set the bar of excellence for what a world class sports game is truly made of. Though its clear-cut inconsistencies across the next and current generation editions diminishes its overall potential, NBA 2K23 has still risen to the top as one of the best sports games of the year.

    In the end, NBA 2K23 isn’t a perfect game. But it is the strongest, deepest, smoothest, and most enjoyable showing for the series in some time. With a little less focus on microtransactions, and a little more focus on ramping up other modes, perfection is definitely within reach in the coming years.

    There is just so much to talk about, and really more worth experiencing than just reading about. Upgraded graphics with really impressive hair and skin, the ability to download the app to scan your face and put yourself into the game, and even the real contest, there's simply a massive amount of things to do. Make sure you also check out the shoe creator, which lets you design your own kicks and for your created player, give power-ups to give you that on-court advantage you have always wanted, and I absolutely love it. Definitely give NBA 2K23 a chance. Yes, the controls can be hard to learn but if you practice and work at it and do the drills, just like in real-life ball, you too can show you have what it takes to make it in the NBA.
