Observer System Redux looks incredible on next-gen consoles, and the improvements to gameplay makes this well worth playing. If you're looking for a psychological thriller to play on your shiny new console, look no further.

As the first horror game on a next-gen system, Observer: System Redux has me really excited for the future of the genre - and for Bloober Team's next project.

Observer was a fine game three-plus years ago, but this re-make is head and shoulders above the original thanks to an awesome presentation, three new side missions, and a price that’s hard to pass up when compared to many games being more than twice as expensive. While we all look forward to Bloober Team’s next one, The Medium, you can’t go wrong with Observer: System Redux if you’re looking for a captivating cyberpunk mystery thriller.

    >Observer_: System Redux represents a solid improvement over the 2017 original and, therefore, a worthwhile upgrade. It’s a little too long for my liking, but it looks gorgeous at points and tells a terrific story that’s worth experiencing. With a reasonably friendly price, it’s also a relatively cheap way to show off your new toy. Absolutely worth a look.

Observer is still a fascinating game with a compelling story and some really interesting set pieces that both confuse, scare, and bring out emotion. Fans of the adventure genre, especially ones that include investigation and a great cyberpunk coat of paint on it, should pick this one up. Players that already own the original version of Observer may want to think twice if they’re looking for a high-profile visual upgrade. While it’s no slouch in the graphics department, I don’t know if it’s worth double dipping for that.

Observer still is a great adventure, full of mystery and with a solid narrative, that looks better than ever with this version.

Observer System Redux is a prettier, smoother version of a good game, but its setting and characters are so grotesque and dark that it can be hard to get through.

The worldObserver: System Redux is the next generation remake of the cyberpunk, detective thriller set in the year 2084 in Krakow, Poland. The world lies in ruins with corporations seizing power after the fall of governments. You do their bidding. No lie will remain hidden from you, as you hack into the minds of those you interrogate. When your past catches-up, you must act on your own and unravel the mystery of your son’s disappearance. Your name is Daniel Lazarski, Amazing as the original one. I like the visual improvement and all. Also the game looks good with or without Ray Tracing. Only way I could tell that Ray Tracing was on was due to a huge FPS hit. Problem solved by turning it off and runs extremely smooth on max settings. Never finished the original one to be honest (had forgotten it) but now I will certainly do so as this is a close to Cyberpunk you can get without playing CP 2077 for. few more days. For the price of admission it's worth picking this one up for our Xbox Series X also. It of course as one would expect it to be absolutely a beauti-FULL experience of the Xbox Series X version as we would expect nothing less. Expand

You play an Observer, basically a detective that can plug into peoples brain implants and view their memories. The setting is the late 2000's where everyone is getting implants and there is a terrifying disease called "nanophage" ravaging the populace. The entire game takes place in one apartment complex but at no time did I find it boring. You are searching for your estranged son but stumble upon something much bigger. Tons of intertwining stories and philosophical concepts to ponder while you find clues and try to retain your sanity. Expand

Thus, the developers from Bloober Team managed a great step in the right direction with the new version of "Observer: System Redux". TheThus, the developers from Bloober Team managed a great step in the right direction with the new version of "Observer: System Redux". The storyline is still convincing nowadays and the gameplay is a lot of fun anyway. However, the game is not suitable for every gamer. The game's controls were not implemented quite well for the new controllers. This can quickly lead to frustrating moments in the gameplay. On the other hand, the graphical performance can provide plus points. Those who would like to play another title on their new console should definitely take a look at "Observer: System Redux".
