Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is an excellent addition to the series. It's short and sweet and half the price of Serious Sam 4 at only $19.99. It won't win over non-fans, but if you like the classic Serious Sam games but were turned off by the further sequels, Siberian Mayhem will be up your alley. Just try not to go too deep into the time travel stuff, and if you're an achievement or trophy hunter, wait until completion is possible.

It's janky, some of the controls are annoying, it's very much dated and it performs like a dog. And yet it's still a bunch of fun to play. Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is a fun game. Period. Sure, its AA af, the controls on console aren't very good, and its funny, but not thatSerious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is a fun game. Period. Sure, its AA af, the controls on console aren't very good, and its funny, but not that funny. Despite all of this, SSSM is the best Serious Sam game. This is all due to the game's insanely good level/encounter design. Each encounter is a unique set up and this is probably the only game I've ever played where I actually noticed level design.

If you enjoy hard as nails shooters (and this game is very hard when played on harder difficulties), you're in for a treat!
