Stray Blade delivers a lot of content in its fantasy journey. While most of the game comes together well, key elements greatly hurt the core gameplay. But, if you are willing to weather these added struggles, this game has some rewarding exploration and combat to deliver to gamers.
Despite its generic story, the worldbuilding is great and so is the soundtrack. The art style is pretty good as well. One thing that I’d recommend to fans of the action-adventure genre is to avoid playing Stray Blade like a soulslike game because they’ll have a frustrating experience. Stray Blade is a thing of its own and can be enjoyed without being associated with the Dark Souls series.

Unexpected excellent game.
Looks great, controls great, it's really fun to play, very engaging and it's refreshing to have a good center camera for once in those games!

It’s a shame when a game is built around a mechanic, only to have that element not live up to its potential. Stray Blade is all about dodges, parries and rolls, but they’re sluggish and imprecise and just don’t work very well. Aside from that frustration, Stray Blade has attractive art and level design, familiar action RPG mechanics, and maybe even some potential, if the combat can be patched into better shape.
All in all Stray Blade is a passable game that plays well. Unfortunately, it doesn't make it easy for you to master its battle system, asi t never quite strikes a perfect balance. Furthermore, more variance wouldn't have hurt the fights, the story is okay at best and the fact that I can only create new equipment myself isn't really satisfying either.
Stray Blade wants too much and fails to deliver most of it
satisfactorily. You're better off playing Elden Ring again.
Stray Blade tries and fails to free the Soulslike from gloomy settings and opaque storytelling, falling short of both its own ambitions and the genre’s standards.
Stray Blade is bewitching to behold for about fifteen minutes. The technical issues might be ironed out later but there’s just not enough substance for Soulslike and Metroidvania mavens to sink their teeth into.
If you are looking for some hardcore sword fighting check out this game. The dodging and counter system takes concentration and practice. Overcoming the intricacies of each particular enemy in the game was a lot of fun. Stray Blade is definitely worth a play through.

- 20 - 30 hour long.
-unpolished game alot of glitches (strongest glitch u cant maxed ur weapon to lvl yourself) and sometimes when u kill enemie drop item places u cant reach.
-sluggish combat clunky counter and evade but playable, sometime unresponsive control, stupid ai, little monsters type, disappointment graphics and disappointment final boss.
-uninteresting story but loved hero and little fox.
-great lvl design, lvl up skills mechanic, difficulties, map, game have problems but i have fun.

While Stray Blade boasts visual allure and attempts a departure from conventional soulslike narratives, its shortcomings in level design, combat mechanics, and progression systems prevent it from standing out in a competitive genre.

Unfortunately, I found Stray Blade to be lacking in several key areas. Firstly, the visual performance was subpar on PS5 heavy stuttering all the way and unimpressive graphics that detracted from the overall gameplay experience.
In addition, the design of the game felt unpolished and uninspired, with uninteresting environments and unmemorable character designs. The combat system was clunky and unsatisfying, with little variation in moves or strategies.
Furthermore, the variety of enemies felt limited and repetitive, with little distinction between them beyond cosmetic differences. And finally, the story was unengaging and failed to captivate my attention, with underdeveloped characters and a lack of compelling plot points.
Overall, while I can appreciate the effort that went into creating the game, I cannot recommend it due to these significant issues that hinder the gameplay experience. Even with the current discount on PS Store.
