It would have been nice if the developer and Microsoft could have come up with some way to play via e-mail (or some other delayed method), but considering the price, there isn't much to complain about in Dai Senryaku VII.
If you're an armchair general, it's hard to imagine a more appealing game on your Xbox than this. [Feb 2005, p.76]
This is a complex, complicated turn-based wargame featuring literally hundreds of authentic modern military units, as well as a big campaign, dozens of stand-alone scenarios, and a full-fledged map editor.
If its a well-conceived tactical strategy game that you crave then Dai Senryaka VII will definitely be right up your alley. Sure it's a bit complex and it can get frustratingly hard at times but for those looking for a real challenge in this particular genre will find this one highly enjoyable.
The game may have quite a steep learning curve to overcome, which may turn away a handful of potential fans, but those that are able to work beyond the game's initial challenges may find themselves quickly hooked on a style of gameplay that stimulates the mind rather than the senses.
If the complicated gameplay doesn't deter most people, the horrendous graphics and sound are certainly not going to win any fans.
