  1. With a solid single-player experience and a multiplayer game that is as much fun locally as it is online, Godzilla is just a fantastic game. I've played this longer than any other fighting game in my collection and I still enjoy going back for the occasional monster mash, even after I have long since unlocked everything.

There's nothing truly groundbreaking (apart from Godzilla's feet) and there's plenty of room for improvement, but also very little to complain about and the astonishing level of destruction will most likely have you grinning like an imbecile throughout.

The fighting manages to feel nimble while still providing a sense of awesome scale, which had to be an extremely hard balance to strike. [Nov 2004, p.60]

I gave this a 9 though only for a few camera angles that annoy me when fighting other monsters. Still this game is my childhood and I love Godzilla, and it's also a great 3d fighting game too. The presentation and game concept are actually quite solid. But the gameplay is very button mashy. There's hardly any depth at all.
