The gameplay borrows heavily from the Zelda games and it works to great effect here. The controls are simple and easily mastered, never getting in the way of the gamers enjoyment of the game.
-
TotalGames.netThe best accolade Philosopher's Stone can receive is that it makes the events of the first story (published way back in the twentieth century) seem fresh for the fans, while hiding nothing from the uninitiated.
-
Worst of all, the game's general lack of polish also means that it's buggy and sometimes employs questionable character artificial intelligence.
-
Official Xbox MagazineGames are meant to be played, not watched, and this one has more cinemas than "Metal Gear Solid." [Jan 2004, p.79]
-
A weak follow-up to Chamber of Secrets that seems like an awkward fit for anyone who already owns last year's game.
-
Xbox Nation MagazineYep, this is basically a rehash of last year's Chamber of Secrets game for Playstation, with similar visuals, controls, and combat. [Mar 2004, p.82]

Other than a couple isolated bits HP and the SS is a mess. And I didnt play crap like this when I was a kid, at least not for long. I played Sonic. So there ya have it: Harry Potter is better than a Vomit flavored bean, but a little worse than Grass, and on a level with Booger.
