    Other baseball games might have a more unique feature or two, and several absolutely have better graphics, but only High Heat delivers such consistently riveting gameplay.

    Baseball is about the battle between the pitcher and hitter and HH does this extremely well. Also with the wealth of sliders on key areas of gameplay, HH makes for an extremely customizable gaming experience.

    This game plays like a dream: A great pitcher/batter interface and fielding thats superlative. I havn't played others, but from what I read, there won't be another game that will even be able to come close to this game in realism.… Expand

The controls are smooth as can be, with excellent batting, pitching and fielding response. My only gripe is the substandard graphics and audio. While the graphics are easily overlooked, the audio can be quite repetitive, uninspired and especially unenthusiastic. There's just not much excitement going on in the sound department. However, those minor complaints aside, this is the baseball game that baseball gamers will want to get - definitely!… Expand

    Pretty fun game. only problem i find is that its too easy to run up the score, even off of rookie. also, i don't have the book for the game.

    I don't really understand all the love this game gets. The animation and graphics are way below par. The gameplay is functional, but I don't really understand all the love this game gets. The animation and graphics are way below par. The gameplay is functional, but nothing special. I don't like the pitching system at all. It doesn't give you enough freedom. But the batting does seem right. Trying to read pitches is made challenging and fun. I played High Heat after MVP 05, and MLB 2k5, and both those games are way better.… Expand
