It is nice to have a game with the legends of the past, however like most negative reviews I concur that the game play is too easy, boring, and glitchy. It could be vastly improved if there were detailed plots and feuds between wrestlers, rather than the generic half-assed storylines of the Challenge mode. It would also be nice if ytou could choose what attire the managers come down in; It is nice to have a game with the legends of the past, however like most negative reviews I concur that the game play is too easy, boring, and glitchy. It would also be nice if ytou could choose what attire the managers come down in; I'd like to have Jimmy Hart come down in one of his suits rather than his doof superman wrestling tights. Also it would be nice to use created wrestlers as managers. This game has potential to be great, hopefully acclaim will make another attempt. Expand

Now these are the wrestlers I like to see in a game. Most (but not all) of the classic wrestlers are here - it's a good selection overall. The game is a perfect rental in that it's really fun at 1st but not so much after some time. Still, if you ever have a bunch of drunk friends over, it'd be nice to have this in your collection.

After two failed games it might be too much to ask for an excellent follow up, but a playable one would have been nice.

Consider this a horrible trip down memory lane and use whatever means necessary to repress it. [Sept 2004, p.89]
  3. But it's the wrestling side that has really been beefed up. A new control system finally makes the action flow back and forth like only wrestling can. Plus the controls are easy to learn and get you into the thick of the action fast, pulling off fancy moves.
