It takes a lot of chops to shoot the majority of a movie underwater, and Johannes Roberts is a skillful crafter of images ... But he’s a throw-what-he-can-at-the-audience director, and there’s little in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged that really sticks. The shocks, however, are consistently well-timed, and for the audience that seeks out a movie like this one that’s probably enough. Read full review

The sharks are disappointingly not scary but they’re interesting-looking with their plastic torpedo heads and serrated-saw smiles. When they leap out of the dark to dismember bodies, they bloody the waters in swirling lava lamp patterns that feel almost peaceful. Or perhaps I’m just trying to find a nicer way to say dull. H ταινία μας μεταφέρει στις μαγευτικές ακτές της Βραζιλίας. Εκεί συναντούμε 4 νεαρές κοπέλες που μοιράζονται την αγάπη τους για τον βυθό. Αυτή τους όμως η ενασχόληση γρήγορα θα γίνει ένας αγώνας επιβιώσεις, με τους καρχαρίες να αναλαμβάνουν τον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο.H ταινία μας μεταφέρει στις μαγευτικές ακτές της Βραζιλίας. Debo confesar que no le tenía fe alguna, ya que la primera se me hizo aburrida y con un final patético y sin tacto alguno.

Lo que sí no me gustó fue el diseño de los tiburones y criaturas marinas en general, parecían sacadas de un videojuego, el grupo de chicas es bastante simpático pero nada del otro mundo, la típica chica que empieza siendo la más débil y termina siendo la mas asertiva, elocuente y superviviente.… Expand

I enjoyed this while in theaters but I found it a touch lackluster compared to the criminally underrated original. Upon watching it again I have to say I enjoyed it much more. It's all about the jumps and screams and stylish atmosphere. And the film is really fun and entertaining. The film centers on a group of girls who decide to explore an underwater city. While there, they become entrapped and are attacked by blind sharks. They quickly have to try and race to the surface before their air runs out. It's a silly movie but like I said it's very entertaining and delivers on the things that people want to see in a movie like this. Pure carnage.

A movie that’s a pleasant enough way to spend a lazy summer afternoon. Actors (and sharks) were both generic. And even though the claustrophobic action picked up at the end, the outcome was never in doubt. If you like this type of thrills you may enjoy it, otherwise you will get bored quickly with its monotonous and predictable story.
