We’ve seen the bones of this creature before, for sure, but some terrific GGI monsters, swampy scares and Driver’s committed performance make 65 a snap-toothed popcorn multiplex movie which, at 93 minutes, is sprightly in comparison with its lumbering rivals.
65 mainly suffers from weak writing. Action movies don't need to be cranial to be fun, but there should be some stability in the plot. Beck and Woods really struggle to balance the tone, communicate character motivation, and generally craft a compelling story.

Aiming to be a gripping survival thriller, 65 rarely surprises. With only two characters to speak of, the stakes feel decidedly low.
If Sam Raimi were in the director’s chair, rather than just producing, imagine the kind of fist-pumping schlock feast we could have enjoyed.
It’s not quite the toxic disaster it’s being treated as but 65 is nowhere near the giddy lark it should have been, crash-landing somewhere in the middle instead.
65 is not good, if that even needs to be said. For something that involves almost nonstop dino action, it’s impressively unengaging, like watching a video game no one’s allowed to play. But its mangled badness is kind of compelling.
Though there are movies that are worse than 65, it is part of a select few that manage to utterly and completely squander their own potential.
I think this movie gets a little too much hate. Up until the very end where the premise became so outrageous, I was having a good time watching the movie. I thought Adam Driver did as good as you could with what the character was asked to do. I thought the story was interesting enough. Not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but good enough. The action and suspense were well done too. This isn't going to redefine any genres, but I think it's worth a watch if you just want a mildly entertaining movie to watch one evening.

Great concept and obviously, with Driver, one of our best young actor as a leading man, it would be a sure fire hit, right?. Boy, was I wrong. The directors maybe have good ideas but they need to have a better, more seasoned people on the helm. To make a film about space and dinosaurs boring is an understatement. I know what they're getting **** gritty feel and the like, but in their hands, the films need to be more propulsive and plays like a horror film. Alas, a missed opportunity.

Efectos especiales que a duras penas llegan a ser decentes, una escenografía muy genérica, una trama igual de genérica que lo anterior, una química totalmente nula entre Adam Driver y la otra niña, los cuales no transmiten nada, dinosaurios disque alienígenas bien renderizados pero nada que impresione.
En pocas palabras, una película muy aburrida.
No me extraña que haya fracasado en la taquilla.

Raimi believed it was good and right to produce a prequel to "Jurassic Park" that exploited any cliché of survival movies and eliminated any logical plausibility. Experiment succeeded almost to perfection: sacrificing action, adventure, sci-fi, monster films in the name of family-friendly on the model of "The Road" (Hillcoat/McCarthy), no one will notice the screenwriters' strike.
