It is infectiously delightful, even if you’re someone who might typically steer clear of chipper, pink-hued flicks. Somehow Gerwig has struck a balance between unhinged whimsy, deep humanity and comedic bliss. It’s funny, it will make you cry and it feels almost like a rebellion.
Gerwig has created a film that takes Barbie, praises its contribution as an idea to our world, but also criticizes its faults, while also making a film that celebrates being a woman and all the difficulties and beauty that includes.

This was a well done movie. Enjoyed the different genre mashing, and general overall plot.

Everything about Barbie is crafted with both mass appeal and personal insight, much like the doll, resulting in a movie that knows how to please.
Gerwig has crafted a warm, funny and cinematically rich film – if one whose narrative and political ambitions are far less radical than it would like us to suppose.
Whatever you think of “Barbie,” the mere existence of this smart, funny, conceptually playful, sartorially dazzling comic fantasy speaks to the irreverent wit and meta-critical sensibility of its director.
All told, Barbie is a fascinating movie, even if it is occasionally a little frustrating and often more fun to look at than it is laugh-out-loud funny. I think my daughters will probably enjoy it quite a bit — when they watch it when they’re a few years older.
The packaging of “Barbie” is a lot more fun than the tedious toy inside the box.
Barbie is a splendid film with storytelling made to trick its audience while also providing enough color and humor for a satirical adventure.

In my opinion, Barbie is a fun and happy movie that children can watch with their families, but the problem is that the point of this movie is not the Barbie doll. It can be said that there are feminist ideas in this movie, which I don't think is suitable for children at all, and even the ending of this movie separates the two genders or literally discriminates between the sexes. I don't know. First I want to say that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gossling did a great job and that's the main pro here. The main con here is the plot. This movie is so so confusing. I mean, at the beginning I understand the story, but as the end comes by, I really have no idea what's going on. Confusing. Really confusing.

Wow, wow, wow. Wow. With all the media noise, cast, and Barbenheimer, I was expecting something exciting and creative. Barbie is cultural phenomenon spaning generations, an everchanging and omnipresent symbol of times it witnessed and lives it touched - surely there are endless topics and ideas to be explored! After all, Barbie can be anyone and achive everything! Sic.
The opening 2001 Odyssey homage got me excited!... Untill the voiceover spilled a huge pile of **** all over. And it only continued to pour through the self-contradicting and hypocrictic shallow narartvie, in which men are the scum of the Earth and the root of all evil. Yet also portraied as one-dimensional and as dumb as a shoe. And what are they guilty of? Who knows. But the creator is very angry at them for doing stuff that not all women chose to. Because PATRIARCHY!!!!AAAAGGG
