Unlike Burton, Schumacher doesn't let his stylistic and thematic fascinations run away with him; he keeps one hand on the wheel at all times. Even with a simple plot, the film is a classic due to Jim Carrey and his performance. The Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face looks like a "half-brother" of the Joker if he got drunk on Madison Square Garden.

The Riddler (Jim Carrey) is **** amazing, he gives a really good performance from start to finish and you can tell he's having so much fun in the role of the Riddler. Jim Carrey is perfectly cast as The Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones wasn't too bad as Harvey Dent himself, but the entire film isn't executed with much energy, making for a moderately enjoyable film.

Batman Forever is the Newton's Law of movies. For every great aspect of the movie (Bruce having nightmares about the death of his parents, Jim Carrey as The Riddler, etc.), there's an equal and opposite amount of really stupid aspects of the movie (Chase Meridian, Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face).

Boring, loud and ridiculously acted, "Batman Forever" should be renamed to "Batman Never" in spite the efforts of the charismatic Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones who brings soft comedy to save this movie from being a mess.
