Chess of the Wind is among the most distinctive dramas I have ever seen from Iran, especially because of the time in which it was released.

This story appears to be simultaneously a critique and a meditation about how materialism can consume a society in such matters as its cultural, ethical, moral and even spiritual values.

Its plot twists are not unconventional, but the dramatic complexity is remarkable and makes for a rewarding and enjoyable viewing experience.

This is a film about wealth and greed. I thought the dialogue/script was quite clever and it was intriguing seeing how characters interact with one another. Its thought provoking and its very much a subtle and understated film. I thought this was quite a good film of its type. It wouldn'tThis is a film about wealth and greed.
