Child's Play 2 is one of those films that outdo the original like the original did good with characters just a little bit of a slow film if you're not into andy or the mother characters. But this film I got to say it's crazy how good child's play 2 it has better characters than the first I like Chucky in this with the lines he said's is fantastic but it's even better in bride of Chucky the kills are pretty good too with the teacher kill was the best with the music too I really like too the only character I don't like is the adopted parents but all round a fantastic film for a sequel and better than the original I give Child's Play 2 an A+ and 99%

the best movie in the franchise! my only problem i had with the first child's play was that there wasn't that much chucky, but this **** yeah they know it's about chucky. 10/10

Vicious as Chucky is, it's hard to be scared by anything that kicks its little feet helplessly every time it flings itself upon a full-sized human target.
Since the gaff has long been blown (we know Chucky is alive from the outset), the original's menacing tension is entirely absent. Lafia attempts to compensate by relying heavily on Kevin Yagher's advanced doll animations, but articulated facial features, however clever, are no substitute for thrills.
Child’s Play 2 is another case of rehashing the few novel elements of an original to the point of utter numbness.
When Child's Play 2 isn't dwelling on some atrocity being performed on a character nobody cares about anyway, it commits the ultimate horror genre transgression: It's really, really boring. [12 Nov 1990, p.3D]
Very well done movie ! A good sequel to a funny and scary slasher that is Child's Play. This movie is a classic !

Basically a copy of the first, just lacking some of the charm and wit. Tough off screen sendoff from the Mom from the first one.

This is so average compared to the first and fourth movie (and even the fifth). If this was the first in the series then there would be no series, just this one. The fear is dull but the horror action quite impressive. You know, I can't be bothered to write a big review, this was just a film that I put on with little thought and didn't hate it. It was that forgettable. Easily forgotten but not a total mess of plastic.
