Directed by Eli Roth with the same knowing smirk that has informed his previous exercises in self-satisfied bloodletting ("Cabin Fever," "The Green Inferno," the "Hostel" movies), the movie is a slick, straightforward revenge thriller as well as a sham provocation, pandering shamelessly to the viewer's bloodlust while trying to pass as self-aware satire. Great movie with Bruce Willis. Showing how good people in society are constantly hurt by criminals. He breaks and becomes a vigilante dispensing his own justice.

สรุป ถึงแม้เรื่องนี้พล็อตจะไม่ซับซ้อนมาก แต่ก็มีความโหดความมันส์ ที่จะทำให้เรานึกถึงละครเรื่อง ล่า มาก ใครชอบแนวล่าแก้แค้น ก็ห้ามพลาดเลยเนออออ… Expand

My husband and I just saw this movie. We both enjoyed the movie because it has a great story to tell. Bruce Willis is very good as the man who takes the law into his own hands. We are all rooting for him and there was serious cheering going on when the bad guys were getting their justMy husband and I just saw this movie. Il s’agit ici du Justicier dans la Ville numéro… on ne sait plus, on a perdu le compte ! d’autant qu’on a eu quelques justicières dans la ville (ou de minuit) aussi… Quoi qu’il en soit, c’est l’inspecteur en débardeur à la retraite qui s’y colle même s’il est devenu toubib dans un grandIl s’agit ici du Justicier dans la Ville numéro… on ne sait plus, on a perdu le compte ! d’autant qu’on a eu quelques justicières dans la ville (ou de minuit) aussi… Quoi qu’il en soit, c’est l’inspecteur en débardeur à la retraite qui s’y colle même s’il est devenu toubib dans un grand hôpital (histoire de noyer le poisson) et même s’il est passablement rouillé…

Il rend néanmoins la justice, le Papy Willis, dans la ville de Chicago, bien connue pour son taux de criminalité qui crève les plafonds (il serait peut-être temps d’appeler Robocop, non ?…). C’est donc l’occasion d’un énième film vengeur approuvé par la NRA qui se réjouit des ventes de flingues qui crèvent tous les plafonds… ça cartonne !

On en rigole d’ailleurs de temps à autre dans ce Death Wish, lequel s’avère assez souvent violent et sanglant comme à la bonne vieille époque des années 80 (et 70 dans le cas des Justiciers, cela va sans dire). C’est involontaire bien sûr, car tout ça se prend tout de même très au sérieux mais on en rigole bien quand même ! du coup, on est presque près à passer l’éponge sur les clichés (usés) et un léger manque de rythme (le film aurait gagné à quelques coupes, ma foi).

Papy Willis se débrouille plus ou moins… mal (comme d’habitude) mais la réalisation est de bonne facture, ce qui n’est pas rien de nos jours ! bref, Death Wish se laisse regarder comme un nanar (soigné) qu’il est, sans surprise mais assurément distrayant !… Expand
