While Don’t Worry Darling isn’t perfect, the only baggage it deserves to be saddled with is the baggage of attempting to tell a story with an obvious twist in our twist-numbed culture. While there’s a definite “The Stepford Wives” sort of vibe, the narrative themes (which do lean timely) lack subtlety and nuance. Thankfully, Pugh keeps it watchable as a young married woman trying to keep her sanity amidst a ton of gaslighting and constant doo-wop songs. Read full review

The movie is actually really good!
Florence Pugh and Harry Styles are amazing and I loved their chemistry! I was positivly surprised by Harrys acting, it felt natural and not over the top like i feared it to be. It was really good and I'd love to see him in more movies!

The topic and the twist of this movie is so good and way to realistic, which makes it soo good!

I think most of these critics only wrote what they thought the public wanted to hear. Because of the rumours of a possible drama, a female director in this genre and because people just love to hate on Harry. So I personally think people shouldn't be influenced by these critics, if you like Midsommar and Black Mirror type of movies/series then chances are high that you might enjoy this movie!… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I had an inkling that this was a modern take on “The Stepford Wives” it didn’t disappoint in that regard and didn’t in any other way!!! The 1950’s idealism of the perfect house, the perfect wife, and the perfekt life; or was it all a dream.....
The answer is a unequivocal yes yes yes!!!! The ending is an homage to cultism, the Matrix, and the revenge of the Stepford Wives too. The ending of this Merry-Go-Round of struggling perfection and the strifes of living in that perfection come to a surprise ending; in which you will not be disappointed.… Expand

Yes, mainstream media. We get it by now, you've been doing this for the last 3-4 years. White Men = Bad. Okay. Cool.

In all honestly, despite how predictable the outcome of the movie was, it was still just about interesting enough to sit through. But honestly? Just watch The Truman Show instead.

I'm really not sure what this movie is going for. I understand the setting and the idea of these women being stuck in this cult like dystopian suburban nightmare but the direction is just so bungled that it does the film in before it has a chance to get going.

"Don't kick it, it's already dead!" A visually decent picture, however with bunch of mystery boxes and weak script being just another variation of Men Bad, Women Good. Boring.

Difficult to follow, not a fluid transition between points, was left confused for over half of the movie. Plenty of parts didn’t make sense, like it was 1950.. now it’s modern day? First it was cliché 1950 life before the advent of technology.. then it was modern day where a doctor is living in desolate conditions.. looking like they can barely scape by? Would NOT recommend watching.. unless you like being left with more questions than answers.… Expand
