Love the original, but this is beyond dumb. At least the first one wasn't trying to be dumb as much as it just was. This is forcibly dumb and it comes across like each joke was dissected by a room full of writers and execs. This sequel shouldLove the original, but this is beyond dumb. Do not understand the hate this movie is receiving. In my humble opinion, the only thing not to like is if you just do not like jim carrey. Other then that, I laughed the entire time. Well,I still laughed but the movie is just not what I expect.Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels' chemistry of they're character are still fantastic but the plot and the jokes are just flat.

This film was never going to be as good as the first Dumb and Dumber film so before I watched the second one I kept an open mind and didn't expect to much. There was always going to be a second film made it was just the case of when not if.This film was never going to be as good as the first Dumb and Dumber film so before I watched the second one I kept an open mind and didn't expect to much. There was always going to be a second film made it was just the case of when not if. So... to the film itself. There are some really funny moments and a lot of reminiscing from the first film which I feel was done really well. They play out scenes which are a slight copy cat of the first film but still makes you laugh. There is the odd moment where you do get a little bit bored but this only happens a few times. Its easy to compare this film to the first one and obviously this one isn't as good but I would still recommend watching as there are some really funny moments.… Expand

Dumb and Dumber To isn't as funny as the first, but it has its moments. Some parts of the movie are friggin' hilarious, while other parts it seems like Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are trying too hard. Still worth going to see.

I didnt think it was that bad people are too judgmental. It obviously not even compared to the first one but walking in I was not expecting that. It has lots of funny parts in the movie the story was not half bad.

Dumb and Dumber To is easily one of the funniest comedies I have seen in years. The Hangover, Horrible Bosses, 21 Jump Street, and other recent examples are limp by comparison. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it isn't trying to stray from the source material. The original was mean spirited, low-brow, over-the-top and at times, obnoxious. Why critics are using these things as points AGAINST this sequel is mind-boggling to me. Dumb and Dumber To is the sequel that the franchise deserved. It may not be nearly as good as the original but it is leaps and bounds better than Dumb and Dumberer, which is all any true fan could ask for. If you're hesitant to see the movie because of average reviews, ask yourself if the original film holds a place in your heart. If it does, get yourself to the theatre and expect to laugh from beginning to end.… Expand

I really enjoyed the movie, I don't understand the harsh reviews. It was great to see Lloyd and harry back, I found myself laughing at their dumb antics. One somber chuckle in almost two hours, you'd think you'd been watching drama. This unfunny sequel pays no homage to its cult predecessor, and you soon realise that the only thing that's dumb is the writing. Jim Carrey was also disappointing, exaggerating too much and resulting in a parody of himself - but the true blame for this colossal flop is definitely going to fall on the writers, who cheaply recycled the plot from the original and wrote one single funny scene.

The rest are monotonous, century-old jokes.… Expand

I am such a huge fan of the original film but I was not expecting this one to be better than the original at all!! I left the theater very underwhelmed and feeling guilty that I didn't laugh more because I wanted it to be good so bad. It is awesome to see Harry and Lloyd back together again and I did laugh quite a bit but there were too many times where the jokes missed and the movie fell flat on its face. It also fell way to familiar to the original plot wise and just didn't have many clever jokes like the original did. All in all this is a very mediocre film and I would only recommend renting it… Expand

I loved it. As a long time Dumb and Dumber fan, I was satisfied. Sure I would have done some things differently but that is what happens when you become attached to someone else's art. Of course they aren't going to get it 100% right forI loved it. As a long time Dumb and Dumber fan, I was satisfied. Sure I would have done some things differently but that is what happens when you become attached to someone else's art. Of course they aren't going to get it 100% right for everyone. BUT I THINK THEY GOT REALLY CLOSE. I went to the movie expecting to laugh, and I did. I loved it. The movie is dirtier than the first. So yes their innocence is a little gone but the US in general is dirtier than it was 20 yrs ago. Gas was 1.09 then its 3.09 now. Lloyd Christmas was always an opportunist at Harry Dunne's expense.

Dumb and Dumber To is guilty pleasure humor. Its crass, racist, juvenile and dumb. The critics panned the original movie as well as this one, and as before THEY STILL DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! It is amazing and I really glad JC and JD reprised their original roles. It is just amazing that they really don't look that much different in this movie than the first. I would watch this movie again and I am planning on buying it on DVD.… Expand

Great original gags that will get you laughing. Nice throwback that gives an aura of watching a later 3 stooges short. Easily my fav silly comedy of the year. My only complaint is that it ends on a down note.

A few years too late.

Dumb and Dumber was a few years ago really good. It has really thrown away before laughing. Now comes very late to continue and this does not come across well. It's like a joke was told 20 years ago. Crappy moreA few years too late.

What's the #1 thing I want out of comedies? Answer: to make me laugh my ass off! Dumb and Dumber To accomplishes this with ease, just like the first one. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their iconic roles that everyone loved them for, and I swear, their acting and chemistry here is like they made the movie a day after the first one. I can't imagine the duo being any different. It's so great to see Carrey return to the roles he's always been good at. Needless to say, these two kill it together. Of course, this is a DD movie, so the humour will be pretty dumb. I, myself, like this humour very much at times, which means I just adored the humour. Some parts even had me in stitches, and just like the pissing in a beer bottle and "we called it a **** scene from the first one, there's some huge laughs here that I will remember for months. The humour doesn't always hit as hard as it should, but all the other big laughs mostly made up for that. If you love the first DD, you will enjoy this one. If you weren't really a big fan of it, you're not gonna enjoy this one. To be honest, the only hugely positive things I found out of this movie were the duo of Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey and the humour/laughs. But isn't that all you ever want out of Dumb and Dumber films? In my mind, YES.… Expand

When I watched Dumb and Dumber for the first time I was a child who was dying of laughs at the jokes of Jeff Daniels and especially the genius Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are still clean and the chemistry between the two is simply amazing. However, the film piece with holes in the script, forced moments and unnecessary clichés. Yet it is a good movie for fun, but it is absolutely less than the first film, even trying to copy the way blatantly.… Expand

Jeff Daniels didn't disappoint.. I had a lot more faith in Jim Carrey than I should have though.. It felt like he took Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber and characterized him to an unbelievably ridiculous level where I cringed at every line ofJeff Daniels didn't disappoint.. Dumb and Dumber To underestimates the viewer's IQ. But this 109 mins long funfest is amusing yet disgusting, although humorous, I did not LOL not once throughout the whole movie.

I have to say that the overall vibe I think most fans will take away from this movie is disappointment. It’s a funny movie, it’s great to see these characters back and a lot of their jokes do hit because Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey work magicI have to say that the overall vibe I think most fans will take away from this movie is disappointment. It’s a funny movie, it’s great to see these characters back and a lot of their jokes do hit because Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey work magic together. But is the movie as funny as the original? Probably not. It does feel a little bit forced. There are times when a lot of the jokes fall flat, especially in the third act and once they actually meet the girl they’re searching for, I think she was pretty much not funny at all.… Expand

Just a poorly done movie the first one was good this was just a weak retry. I think there were a couple of well crafted sections but for the most part it lacked the great original comedy and creativity.

WOW. The director to this fine, fine movie is a genius!! I like it how they put to instead of two. I was laughing before I ever had the pleasure to watch this movie! This one is no where near as funny as the comedy classic that is Dumb and Dumber, but Dumb and Dumber To does have its fair share of chuckle worthy moments sprinkled in here and there.

Easily best comedy of the year! I don't understand this new trend in Hollywood.. critics love **** comedies like The Hangover, Neighbors, 21 Jump Street! I finally saw Dumb & Dumber To today and I, like everyone else it seems, am really disappointed. I think the worst part is that they seem to have forgotten how the characters were originally. They seem pretty mean-spirited compared to theI finally saw Dumb & Dumber To today and I, like everyone else it seems, am really disappointed. I think the worst part is that they seem to have forgotten how the characters were originally. They seem pretty mean-spirited compared to the first movie... which removes a lot of what makes them likeable in the first place. It removes some of what was the heart of their friendship before. Sure, Lloyd held out on those extra gloves while Harry was freezing... but it was only because he was dumb. And sure Harry went after Mary when he knew Lloyd wanted her but he didn't intend to originally it just sort of happened.

In the sequel, Lloyd outright wants to bone Harry's daughter and doesn't seem to care about Harry's dire situation at all. He also seems to be a tad bit racist. There was an innocence to their dumb antics in the first one that seemed to show they had bigger hearts and the best of intentions. Lloyd may have wanted to bone Mary Swanson, but he also seemed to really want an actual relationship and mistook those feelings of infatuation and desire for true love. I was surprised by how much I didn't like Lloyd Christmas in this one and how unlike himself he seemed.

Also, the writing wasn't nearly as clever. There is a big payoff in the glove/freezing hand scene in the original where Harry starts to choke Lloyd and he cries out in pain, "Your hands are freezing!" That was really funny and clever in the moment. Moments like those are lacking here.… Expand

I really was looking forward to this movie but then I read horrible reviews well rest asure the movie is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be I mean I didn't laugh constantly but it was a few good laughs thrown in to the flick and good heart and adventure as well Harry's "fake daughter" was just too cute and too much like the guys for words to describe would have made a perfect family I say see this movie regardless of what the reviews say u will find that u made a really smart choice if u do ps 22 jump street was a better sequel but this was however still grade b fun… Expand

I Had an awesome time with this sequel. Funny as all get out. I think it had more laughs than the original. All in all a great sequel in my opinion. I'm so glad they finally got it made. Just plain FUNNY and AWESOME.

If a movie they ripped on 20 years ago turned out to be a comedy classic ("So you're telling me there's a chance" is still one of the greatest, most cited, lines ever), what are we to make of the sequel's Metascore of 35?… Expand

What is wrong with people. This is amazing. Trust me, if your not bothered with "character development"

The first Dumb an Dumber proved a hit with audiences. Apparently watching Daniels and Carrey bumble around like idiots onscreen, involving themselves in gross out gags and making stupid faces made it something of a comedy classic. Apparently watching Daniels and Carrey bumble around like idiots onscreen, involving themselves in gross out gags and making stupid faces made it something of a comedy classic. I personally was not as amused. Given the fact that I didn't like the first movie I had no real interest in this sequel. Imagine my surprise when I found out just how much I liked it.

Given how it consistently funny it manages to remain throughout it's runtime there seems to be some intelligence behind the stupidity this go around. The jokes keep coming, both big and small. The majority of them hit their mark. That's because the Farrelly brother toned down on the humor that didn't work in the first movie (the excessive amount of gross out gags and an over-reliance on Jim Carrey's stupid faces) and just focused on what did work; portraying just what morons these characters are. There is a certain hilarity to their ineptness that I found to be missing in the first.

Surrounding Carrey and Daniels is an all around talented cast. Plenty of throwbacks to the original are made, but they are done so in small ways. As a result they serve as a way of bringing back some goofy memories of the original all while not coming off as one of those sequels that feel like they are constantly saying "hey, remember how great the first movie was?" It stands on it's own two feet and is much funnier as a result.

All in all it takes what so many enjoyed about the first movie and improves upon it. The gross out gags are still here, but they have been mercifully turned down. The humor and main characters are still just as dumb as ever, but nowhere near as irritating. Even as someone who didn't enjoy the original I found plenty to enjoy and laugh at in this sequel. No, it's not art, but it certainly shows just how funny stupid humor can be.

For that I give it an 8.9/10. It's quite the funny movie.… Expand

Jesus Christ have some appreciation people.
1. Don't compare this to the original. That was 20 years ago.
2. Carey and Daniels had really no reason to do this movie other than because they wanted to. I realize this is breaking the 4th wall,Jesus Christ have some appreciation people.

Great film with lot of funny moments and laughs (especially when your intoxicated and watching it with other people), worth a watch. Plenty of fan service, poor taste, bad jokes and other dumbfoolery

Ok i enjoyed Dumb and Dumber the first one , the prequel 'When Harry Meet Lloyd' which i don't want want to talk about never !!!!!!!. What happen Farrelly Brothers? you written so many good comedies example' There's something about Mary' , 'Me Myself and Irene' , Three Stooges , Kingpin the jokes got old so as Carey and Daniels. Not even close as being as good as the first one but still laughed a lot. This movie is way stupider than the first movie but it wasn't as funny. И тем приятнее обнаруживать, что есть фильмы, которые заставляют смеяться не затрагивая особо данную тематику или не так акцентируя на этом внимания, не делая точкой опоры, на которой держится весь юмор в фильме. Тупой и еще тупее 2 оказался из числа таких фильмов.

Вот честно, так надоели фильмы, где весь юмор сводиться к примитивному, основанном на теме секса, пола и всё в этом роде. А еще добавить элемент эротики и народ вообще пищит. Пусть и не все, но многие.

Тем ценнее становятся фильмы использующие старые приёмы. Пусть в большинстве своём это всё те же «глупые» шутки. Но они при этом довольно мягкие, что ли, добродушные. Это важно. Это ближе. Фильм использует практически всё то, что было в первой части. Но эти приёмы, быть может из-за их востребованности именно сейчас, быть может из-за ностальгии по тем временам у тех, кто смеялся тогда над этими фильмами. Именно подобного сейчас так мало. И именно подобного не хватало.

Фильм не лишён сюжета. И это радует. Он легкий, о тривиальный. Но не лишен своей привлекательности из-за формы подачи, и обусловленности жанром фильма. Как обычно герои в силу своей, мягко говоря, недалёкости оказываются, сами того не ведая, втянутыми в определённые заговоры. Как обычно злодей оказывается в числе близких людей семьи, чьи интересы суждено защищать героям. Благодаря своей «смекалке» героям удаётся разобраться со всеми проблемами.

Смотрел его с удовольствием. Приятно вспомнил первую часть фильма и другие фильмы Керри (те же Эйс Вентура и Маска). Он практически всё тот же самый. Пусть постарел немного. Но всё также хорошо получается у него то, что он умеет делать лучше всего — быть смешным и смешить.

Mother of God... Maybe it will finally be over. One was enough and this franchise needs to be put down for good. I don't have anything redeeming to say about this pile of excrement.

It was nasty and I know that's how Dumb And Dumber is supposed to be like. But just plain childish and unfunny. I walked out about half of the movie. The first one was OK.

Granted their are some funny moments, but they are about as raunchy as you can be. The whole basis of the story also leaves the viewer saying "this is stupid" at the end of the movie.
