Eight Men Out is an oddly unfocused movie made of earth tones, sidelong glances and eliptic conversations. It tells the story of how the stars of the 1919 Chicago White Sox team took payoffs from gamblers to throw the World Series, but if you are not already familiar with that story you’re unlikely to understand it after seeing this film.

A lot to love for baseball fans, but still a decently entertaining sports drama for casual filmgoers, I enjoyed it

100 years ago, in 1919,baseball was an national pastime.But baseball fans have to remember the worst world series by the BlackSox.If you are an baseball fan, you must watch the movie.We must learn this scandal and say" No more Blacksox".

I wish this movie was an hour longer. I wanted more of the history, more about each player. I love the cast, and the period details are solid, but it felt a little too compressed to me.
