Summary: Hunter Hunter follows a family living in the remote wilderness earning a living as fur trappers. Joseph Mersault (Devon Sawa), his wife Anne (Camille Sullivan), and their daughter Renée (Summer H. Howell) struggle to make ends meet and think their traps are being hunted by the return of a rogue wolf. Determined to catch the predator in theHunter Hunter follows a family living in the remote wilderness earning a living as fur trappers. Joseph Mersault (Devon Sawa), his wife Anne (Camille Sullivan), and their daughter Renée (Summer H. Howell) struggle to make ends meet and think their traps are being hunted by the return of a rogue wolf. Determined to catch the predator in the act, Joseph leaves his family behind to track the wolf. Anne and Renée grow increasingly anxious during Joseph’s prolonged absence and struggle to survive without him. When they hear a strange noise outside their cabin, Anne hopes it is Joseph but instead finds a man named Lou (Nick Stahl), who has been severely injured and left for dead. The performances are all fine, with Sawa and Stahl providing forceful presences. But Sullivan is particularly memorable, delivering the sort of galvanizing, physically and emotionally demanding turn that would be of the star-making variety if Hunter Hunter were to be seen by a wide audience. From great atmospheric building, to amazing background score, with consistent and developing character traits, and twists and turns, this movie came out of nowhere and blew me away. Writer-Director, Shawn Lendin definitely deserves praise, and Camille Sullivan steals the show.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Concept of the movie is fine, however the writing of it is complete trash. I usually make fun of movies for having characters that do the dumbest of things and this movie took it like 3 steps further. Wouldn't recommend watching this unless you want to keep asking yourself why are they doing that, why are they doing this? Poor writting...… Expand

Characters who do not seem to think. Indeed, not declaring to have found corpses to the police, to leave your child with a rather strange stranger, etc is beyond comprehension.
