I Am Greta is a wonderful, rich documentary and at points it moved me to tears.
Even more than describing her cause, the affecting I Am Greta introduces us to the person herself, digging deep into why she’s pushing herself so hard, to do what our planet’s adults apparently won’t.

This deep-perspective intimate documentary on Greta's journey is almost philosophical in it's delicate portrayal of the complexity that surrounds her bold attempt to help people hear and see sense with regards to climate change

Since Thunberg is one of the most gifted and arresting speakers alive today, I Am Greta is inherently compelling as a behind-the-scenes document of the vulnerabilities masked by her forceful persona.
It’s a bit of a blur, but Thunberg strikingly upends the stereotype of the young innocent as poster girl.
Even though it’s about a person who speaks with courage about the urgency of the global crisis, I Am Greta itself doesn’t possess enough of that urgency.
Despite being a valuable reminder of Thunberg’s idealism and unselfconscious courage, the film doesn’t entirely work.
Nathan Grossman charts her rise in this perfectly enjoyable but ultimately unpersuasive and shallow documentary.
Regardless of the opinion you may have about this young girl, what she preaches about climate change is not a lie, and it's certainly not a bad thing.
And the fact that she makes so many old people angry is synonymous with the fact that something about her has punch right.

While this documentary can be interesting and does well when it comes to looking into the life and journey of Greta Thunberg if you know nothing about her, the entirety of the film is extremely vauge and does alot to pander to the audience. To sum things up overall it felt a bit shallow and alot of statements made should be taken with a grain of salt.

Barring apocalyptic novelties, at the moment the only certain thing is that in a century we will all be dead, in about 8 billion. Dear Greta, the future has always been stolen from us, no one has ever shown that they have management skills on any of the three temporal extensions. What is stolen from you is your specific model of future, in which you want to get married and form a new family. Try to figure it out by focusing your Asperger on the biggest problem or at least get help from someone of the tens of millions of environmentalists, starting with your parents.
Btw: the documentary makes use of a couple of pieces by Wim Mertens, a minimalist composer like Philip Glass, author of the score music of the analogous "Koyaanisqatsi" (Reggio 1982), hopi word which means: "1. crazy life. 2. life in turmoil. 3. life out of balance. 4. life disintegrating. 5. a state of life that calls for another way of living." From '82 to today nothing has changed, if not the looting done in '98 by Madonna for the video of "Ray of Light".
