It is almost a prototypical action picture; there is never a moment when something isn't happening or about to happen, and the fact that most of the action makes no sense doesn't matter much when events move this fast. [27 Sep 1985, p.D7]
A numbingly stupid actioner, Invasion U.S.A. has one of the most laughable villains ever committed to film.
Invasion USA might actually be fun in a campy way if it weren't so dourly exploitative.
A brainless plot would be almost forgivable were it not for the perverse depiction of innocents butchered in Invasion U.S.A.
Though in his last movie, Code of Silence, Mr. Norris, the karate champion-turned-movie actor, seemed on the verge of becoming a kind of benign Clint Eastwood character, he loses all credibility in this awful film.
Has a terrific premise but no script.
Leaden, xenophobic, and utterly stupid, it's far more offensive than Rambo and far less well executed.
