The makers of Jingle All the Way have the nerve to declare what the rest of us have only grumbled about: that the superficial reason for the Christmas season is found nestled in your wallet. a hilarious movie for the family. I bet it will make you laugh your ass off. A ton of jokes, a charming performance Sinbad, and a great plot.

Based on an idea similar to the premise of Home Alone, though not nearly as accomplished or entertaining, and produced by that film's director, Chris Columbus, this family comedy-adventure is decidedly not a vintage Schwarzenegger kidpic on the order of Kindergarten Cop.
Jingle All the Way has been well shot and imaginatively designed. But somehow that makes it worse. So does the fact that all the actors, Schwarzenegger included, are skilled enough to make you watch them. [22 Nov 1996, p.C]
This film might have been more accurately titled Bungle All the Way because everything that can be wrong, is. Not only is the product miscast from top to bottom, it's also tedious and painfully not funny. [22 Nov 1996, p.3E]
It's 80 minutes of frantic mugging, of silly pratfalls and clown fights, of ideas lifted from other children's movies, design schemes from Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and characters from Toys R Us, all patched together without an innovative stitch of its own. [22 Nov 1996, p.F6]
Unfunny and worse, unpleasant, Jingle All the Way is holiday cheer from the warped psyche of a Scrooge. Even the Grinch wouldn't like this one.

Your typical Christmas classic. A father waits to long to buy the most popular kids action figure turbo man. He goes out on Christmas eve to try to buy it and to no one's surprise, it is sold out.

Jingle all the way is embarrassingly bad. Two thirds of the movie is a fine 5/10, but that ending was just awful. All the performances in this movie are just weird. Like I prefer Jake Lloyd in Phantom Menace over his performance in this film. Everything is fine till, until that end. The ending has got to be one of the stupidest and most, what in the world, moments in film. I still don't understand what happened in that ending. Also Arnold Schwarzenegger punches a dear. So that was.... something? This movie gets a 3/10 and an F.

Absolute junk, I only saw Jingle All the Way a few times and this role didn't suit Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was better in Twins and Kindergarten Cop.
