For a film about the music business, it’s interesting that Kill Your Friends sticks so faithfully to one note throughout; it’s as if Niven fears any glimpse of humanity might risk the project’s integrity, but the lack of human empathy ultimately becomes this project’s biggest handicap. At first you feel like this movie has a really good premise and it is quite interesting, plus you get the see the other side of the music industry and how ruthless it can get. Surprising to know a film called Kill Your Friends manage to exist. What does this bring us? Unfortunately, this film just doesn't bring its purpose down to the case, thus making the film worth a mixed score.
