It’s raw, powerful, moving and candid. This is what it is like to be on the ground in Aleppo.
The film has plenty of unflinching truth and emotion and outrage, and it ends with a gut punch. It's the subtly unreal quality of what we're seeing throughout, however, that truly highlights the obscenity of war.

Russia's astroturfers are in full force with all the negative reviews. Do yourself a favor, ignore their propaganda against the movie they accuse of being propaganda, watch it and judge for yourself. You're not forced to believe anything, it doesn't hurt to hear their side of the story.

Individual personalities emerge, none more magnetic than Khaled Omar Harrah, who gained international recognition in 2014 for the rescue of a 10-day-old baby.
Editing is clearly complex given the variable footage, but each emergency call and every character is successfully individualised and identifiable, and several arcs snap into the overall narrative drive.
While Last Men in Aleppo could stand a trim here and there, it mostly uses its length to good and heart-rending effect, delivering a lingering, close-up — and ultimately tragic — look at the misery and joy taking place, side by side, under the eyes of the world.
Feras Fayyad's film is broadly concerned with portraying the titular Syrian city as a community of neighbors and colleagues.
Overall, the “you are there” footage lends the film a more journalistic than artistic tone, yet the emotional effect is intimate and unforgettably gripping.
This movie is State-sponsored propaganda. The white helmets were literal terrorists who were funded by the CIA and Israel as a justification to invade Syria and steal their oil. Disgusting propaganda, beware.

White Helmets are nothing more than western financed propaganda tools and terrorists. They are behind the chemical attacks in Syria that serve has an orchestrated excuse to US intervention through tomahawk missiles. Therefore this movie is nothing more than propaganda. For information search for a real reporter actually in Syria right now that is not on rebel areas, which should be called terrorists areas, Eva Bartlett. Canadian Journalist.

Propaganda, plain and simple. The "White Helmets" are not a humanitarian group; there's photos of them online holding guns and posing for pictures with ISIS fighters.

Making a movie about a place, where the reporters prove the lack of information, the lack of transparency. Where it was proven that everything published on the official media was WRONG and inaccurate... And that's hollywood, with their "holly wood" they try to cast magic on the viewers, and manipulate them in seeing the world for something that it is not. Stay away from political movies. Politics nowadays is 100% pure evil
