Jeez, what ISN’T there to say about this movie! A criminally underrated masterpiece of our times that has unique characters, an amazing plot, fantastic and beauty animation, music, and sound design. It’s character and charm help bring uniqueness and beauty to this grim and mysterious new perspective of L.A. and world politics and metaphors. A totally 10 star recommendation from me!

MFKZ is obviously modeled on Katsuhiro Ôtomo’s “Akira” and Taiyô Matsumoto’s “Tekkonkinkreet,” but it lacks the gritty brilliance of the former and the underdog poignancy of the latter.

If you watching this on Netflix and your a seasoned anime fan go ahead and watch this. The critics definitely take themselves too seriously so enjoy the ride and ignore the snobs. Its an adrenaline pumping anime pop ghetto cluster **** and its just plain fun to watch.

Pretty great! I enjoy the mixture of different types of genres and media into one. The characters are also really fleshed out and have personalities, and overall it’s enjoyable

I’m very impressed with how this movie turned out. The movie may have a very wild and crazy storyline, but it’s super fun to watch, and characters are super great, I really recommend it to anyone who’s interested in animation, action, or something unique and new to get a kick out of

There's plenty of urban style and a mixture of genre tributes in this uniquely animated film, but unfortunately the film fails to stay focused once it reaches its end. It leaves the audience wishing they'd have read the manga rather than the film as I'm sure it's more grounded in its wild grittiness.
