It's eye candy that detonates.
The real deity of the movie is director Woo, who takes complete command of the latest technology -- hyperspeed editing, breathtaking cinematography, 10-out-of-10 stunt work -- to create brilliant action sequences.

It is ultimately the film's reliance on this thumping action assault that keeps it from true summer-movie greatness.
Suggests that Cruise the actor may have outgrown this kind of stuff.
It's actually sharper, less reverential and generally better than "Misson: Impossible."
Once the basic conflict is established, the story plods along, alternating between preposterous -- in a bad way -- speeches and even more preposterous -- but in a good way -- shootouts and slugfests.
Mostly, you get a pain in the head from the assault on your senses and déjà vu as thick as heartburn after an anchovy pizza.
Tom Cruise kehrt als Ethan Hunt zurück. Mit einer neuen Frisur und einer neuen Partnerin muss er die Welt von einem tödlichen Virus retten. Seine neue Partnerin Nyah (Thandie Newton) hat nicht wirklich viel in dem Film zu tun. Der Film wirkt in einigen Stellen sich auch gestreckt an. Die Szene am Anfang am Berg fühlt sich so an, als ob es nachgedreht wurde weil sie bemerkt haben das es zu wenig Actionszenen gibt. Der Bösewicht ist richtig dumm. Dafür das er mit Ethan zusammen gearbeitet hat sollte er ihn besser kenn als wir Zuschauer. Aber er hat nur das Wissen was wir auch haben. Das er sich auch mehrmals als eine andere Person ausgibt, ist irgendwann auch zu viel. Vor allem macht er das an einer Stelle in zwei Minuten gleich zwei mal mit unterschiedlichen Personen. Bis jetzt finde ich die Mission Impossible Reihe eine solide Actionfilmreihe, aber eine eher schwache Agentenfilmreihe. Der Plottwist am Ende war so Vorhersehbar, weil der Film es oft genug gezeigt und wiederholt hat. Diueser Teil ist schlechter als sein Vorgänger. Ich hatte, jedoch meinen Spaß mit dem Film.

Kind of a weak follow up to the first Mission Impossible. The story feels like it should pack a bigger punch but it just doesn't. The action is bland, not very compelling, and just very much a product of its own time. Good performances are a highlight, but overall it's just a very "Meh" film.

Esse filme é uma tragedia. Mesmo deixando de lado a logica, é muito difícil se divertir com esse projeto. Os personagens não tem a menor profundidade, e fica bem claro que isso é totalmente ignorado ao redor do filme, e o pior é que o mesmo se leva tão serio que passa a acreditar que é inteligente, onde metade das cenas são os personagens fazendo caras persuasivas e pseudo-espertas. Fora que é super previsível, onde pude adivinhar dois plots sem o menor esforço.
Fora a conveniência do roteiro para que determinados rumos sejam tomados.
Fica bem claro aqui que se esse filme não foca nos diálogos, personagens, historia, ele deve ser bom nas cenas de ação, correto? Quem dera! As coreografias de luta conseguem ser mirabolantes e ao mesmo tempo sem criatividade, com milhares de cortes entre elas que só ajudam a te deixar mais perdido. E o que falar do slowmotion dramático extremamente mal implementado? Aqui o diretor acha o máximo pôr isso em toda cena. E falando em cinematografia, a mesma está mais perdida do que nunca. Dando enfoque em determinados objetos e cenários sem a menor necessidade, subestimando a inteligencia do publico e a própria capacidade de uma fotografia bem feita, e como citei acima: cortar uma cena em pedaços não a deixa melhor.
Quanto ao áudio, apesar de amar as OST de Hans Zimmer, não acho que esse rock funcionou bem aqui.

Mission: Impossible II is a delirium that does not work.
Plot without sense and convoluted, moments taken from any side, an action that does not work and scenes too exaggerated make this film a nonsense that entertains and little else.
Without a doubt, the worst of all (and I still have to see the next ones in the series, but worse than this can not be).
