Wonderfully energetic.
It's a fun ride, and the big payoff -- that history turns out to be way cooler than its reputation suggests -- is even more gratifying. Bully!

This was a great movie, It was so fun to watch this one. The characters were full with variation and all of them made me laugh. Cavemen, T-rex, americans, romans, Attila and lots of weird characters made this movie a very original thing.

What a dull, nice movie, wrenched from a wild premise and battered into docility.
Strands several generations of performers in a highly derivative script and hackneyed direction.
The first half-hour's too slow; the last half-hour's too manic, as if to compensate. But at least it entertains, thanks in large measure to the buddy-pic relationship between Owen Wilson's miniature cowpoke and his Roman pal Steve Coogan.
This season's answer to "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," it's an overstuffed grab bag in which lumps of coal are glued together with melted candy.
Watching Williams as Teddy Roosevelt ogle through binoculars Sacajawea (Mizuo Peck) while she stalks around a glassed-in display like some hippie chick in a buffalo-skin straitjacket after a bad trip at Woodstock ’94 makes me sad and uncomfortable.

Give this one a shot if you have to. At least it'll make you feel like you're in the actual adventure. For me, it just doesn't feel connective with its absolute adventurousness, but it still works as a movie.

When it first came out, I enjoyed it an laughed along. As the years go by, on the other hand, the film becomes more cheesy and formulaic and underwhelming. Ben Stiller simply acts like an idiot to be funny, which is his 'thing', but he has to try something new. The ensemble cast could generate a few laughs, but in hindsight, there will probably be no reviewing.

Production value is top-notch and the cast does a decent job but the story is so painfully bland and there is a severe lack of comedy. In fact, it's really just a recycle of the same jokes over and over again throughout. It's a kind of movie clearly geared towards kids and even they may be simply uninterested in watching it. It's a shame because it could have been a lot better than what it was.
