sorry guys but this movie deserves better! the begins is strange and confused but when the story walk more steps, the movie is really good and is not a annoying cliché movie of zombies and infection! is a really good movie, a little slow like ortho said but really good

I thought this was very good. It's a little slow going initially but picks up and becomes less mystery and more of a good horror film as it goes along. The first part of the movie is moody and creepy and the second part is suspenseful. I'm not sure I understand the critics' criticisms.I thought this was very good. That's what I call a good underrated movie.Sharlto Copley is an amazing actor and he proves it in his role.The others are normal except for Thomas Kretschmann who is also really good.The story is original even if there is a lot of cliché.The characters are interesting and the movie is entertaining.

Δημιουργείς μια τόσο καλή ατμόσφαιρα, έχεις αξιοπρεπείς ερμηνείες, διατηρείς την αγωνία του θεατή σε καλά επίπεδα και όταν έρχεται η ώρα να δώσεις τη λύση στον γρίφο, βάζεις φωτιά και καταστρέφεις το δημιούργημά σου.

Το πρόβλημα αρχίζει να φαίνεται κάπου πριν το τελευταίο ημίωρο του φιλμ, ειδικά αν έχεις παρακολουθήσει ταινίες παρόμοιας λογικής. Κάπου εκεί περνά πρώτη φορά απ` το μυαλό σου η σκέψη : «δεν θα καταλήξει πουθενά... Βλέπω το ξενέρωμα να έρχεται, αλλά ας ελπίσουμε ότι κάνω λάθος...» Δυστυχώς, όμως, το τέλος που επιλέγει ο σκηνοθέτης είναι πραγματικά αδιάφορο, ανούσιο, ανίκανο να σου προσφέρει την παραμικρή έκπληξη και την παραμικρή αίσθηση ολοκλήρωσης.

Αν επιλέξετε να παρακολουθήσετε το Open Grave, είμαι σίγουρος ότι, όπως κι εγώ αρχικά, θα απορήσετε με τις κακές κριτικές που έχουν γραφτεί, καθώς έχει όλα αυτά τα πολύ καλά στοιχεία που έγραψα παραπάνω. Το φινάλε του όμως είναι πραγματικά απογοητευτικό, ειδικά μετά τις μεγάλες προσδοκίες που σου έχει δημιουργήσει το φιλμ μέχρι τα μισά του...… Expand

Although this movie has some interesting ideas, I felt it didn't manage to push them along, since this movie ended up having more questions than answers, like they felt they didn't need to explain a lot of things that were happening and why they were happening. The film also seems to want to be very character driven, but this fails since the characters have the depth of a kiddie pool, with Sharlto Copley's character, who does seem to get a bit of backstory; but altogether it's a somewhat solid if not pretty average flick, which could have been much better than it was, I wouldn't hate to watch it again, but I'm certainly not going to actively seek it out.… Expand

I can't say it has no potential, but there is no explanation of plot twist, it just served like that.
