Whether you find it exciting or troubling might vary from person to person, but either way Jennifer Garner delivers a standout performance that demands recognition, and will hopefully lead to better action movie roles for the actor in the future.
Peppermint isn’t preaching a message; it’s intended as escapist fun. The problem is, there’s nothing “fun” about sitting through this 100-minute exercise in robotic butchery.

Maybe someday, Jennifer Garner will be given a project that proves her talents once again. For now, though, we’re left with Peppermint: a wretched action misfire that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
While it's fun to watch Garner return to her action roots, the brute force haymaker that is Peppermint is a far cry from the sophisticated thrills of "Alias."
Pierre Morel's first feature film set in the United States is brainless propaganda for the MAGA market.
Even if male stars from Neeson to Bruce Willis have been riding the same gravy train for decades, Garner has the talent to make us expect more. She needed support from the filmmakers. But what did she get? A lazy facsimile of the revenge movie she so richly deserved. There’s no reason audiences should accept it.
A failure on virtually every level, Peppermint is a slapdash, half-hearted affront to anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in its crosshairs.
Once again, the critics got it wrong! Did they see what I just watched? I've been waiting for Peppermint to come out after seeing the trailer, bought it tonight and couldn't wait to watch it with my husband. As a 40-something soccer mom, I couldn't help but root for Riley. It was easy to empathize with her and cheer her on. This is now one of my new favorite movies. How this has a low rating is beyond me..... I have over 1200 movies on my VUDU account (we are a bit of a movie fanatic family) and this is on my top 5 of all time favorite action movies. I've always loved Jennifer Garner, but now, I have a serious girl crush on her. She's bad ass. I signed up to Metacritic tonight, just so I could leave a review because I was so disappointed with pretentious critics who think they know what makes a good film. Don't trust the critics, this is a must see!

O Filme com o título em português faz mais sentido. Curiosamente essa é um dos casos onde até quem é originário da língua inglesa tem dificuldade de entender porque escolheram Peppermint como título. Agora sendo mais direto ao ponto, o filme coloca uma protagonista mulher dentro de um enredo de vingança. Isto é razoavelmente exclusivo e bem executado. A personagem é bem construída e a atriz uma ótima atriz de ação e fisicalidade. Agora tem uma questão, como já tem muitos filmes com esse tipo de vingança, talvez colocar algo a mais, como frases de efeito ou mais ação ainda, talvez o fizesse ter destaque. All though it was a good movie overall i thought that the main character could have been played much better by the acting ledgion tim allan famous for his works in tim allans zoom

Jennifer Garner put effort and desire into her first action role in 11 years since she starred in ''The Kingdom'' but apparently she was the only interested in doing so because ''Peppermint'' is a action thriller very simplistic and conventional and also too similar to all the ones that Bruce Willis has delivered in recent years.
