Enjoyable stuff.

I could've perhaps done without the lead characters going the predictable way, but all in all I found this 1989 film featuring Clint Eastwood and Bernadette Peters to be entertaining. Eastwood and Peters are very good respectively. Elsewhere, there is - like in 'The DeadEnjoyable stuff.

I could've perhaps done without the lead characters going the predictable way, but all in all I found this 1989 film featuring Clint Eastwood and Bernadette Peters to be entertaining. Eastwood and Peters are very good respectively.

Elsewhere, there is - like in 'The Dead Pool' a year earlier - a cameo for a future Canadian acting star - another Canadian, a musician, surprisingly appears, too. Geoffrey Lewis stands out - he is miles better in this than he is in the 'Every Which Way but Loose' films. James Cromwell is in there, as well.

It's silly, yet amusing. 'Pink Cadillac' marks the final collaboration between Eastwood and director Buddy Van Horn - which wasn't quite Eastwood/Don Siegel levels, but a noteworthy partnership nevertheless.… Expand

Old school movie classic. It's crazy to see how times have changed since then. It's worth a watch when you can't find anything.

Clint Eastwood s’est souvent fourvoyé dans la comédie de bas étage avec l’âge (et le gâtisme précoce), à l’instar de cette « Cadillac rose » et de sa menue propriétaire victime d’un mari débile acoquiné à une bande de vilains voyous trafiqueurs de fausse monnaie, lesquels sont accessoirementClint Eastwood s’est souvent fourvoyé dans la comédie de bas étage avec l’âge (et le gâtisme précoce), à l’instar de cette « Cadillac rose » et de sa menue propriétaire victime d’un mari débile acoquiné à une bande de vilains voyous trafiqueurs de fausse monnaie, lesquels sont accessoirement armés jusqu’aux dents ! tout en restant, cela dit, beaucoup plus cons que dangereux…

Car on navigue ici dans les eaux saumâtres de la comédie presque mongolienne avec de bons sentiments et de la niaiserie en solde… la facilité et les situations téléphonées se succèdent au fil de deux plombes d’ennui très difficiles à supporter. On ignore d’ailleurs qui est le plus énervant ici, Clint qui bombe le torse comme à la parade (il n’arrête pas de parader du début à la fin), la bécasse en détresse avec son verre d’eau tiède entre les oreilles ou bien le film entier qui se complaît dans la bêtise sans avoir l’air d’y toucher…

Et pourtant ! on ne tient pas longtemps devant tout ce fatras merdoyant qui fuit de toutes parts, car même en accéléré, c’est toujours aussi nul à chier (même pas d’effet ‘Benny Hill’ !).… Expand
